I will be re-applying for the ELMNS spring 2015 program at the sacramento campus. Is anyone also doing the same?

By any chance:

Are there still any open slots for admission? Or are they now moving on to decline/wait-list applicants? Have not heard so far & this wait is killing me!

Congrats to those who have already received acceptance notifications. That's very exciting.

Mi would try calling the admissions counselor. Ca the school and they will give you her direct line. She can give you your specific information. Good luck!

I am in the process of trying to set up a Facebook group for the FNP class. Apparently you can't set up a Facebook group without inviting some current friends to it. Can one of the FNP candidates send me a private message so we can set this up? Translation: can someone be my friend? ;-)

Newly admitted ELMSN-FNP candidates! I created a Facebook group for us called "Samuel Merritt Sacramento ELMSN-FNP 2018". You should just be able to search that and send a request to join.

I tried starting a facebook group for the CM class, but facebook wanted me to add my friends... and obviously we don't know each other yet. Did you run into this issue? If so, how did you solve it?

I did run into that same problem but I had someone from this thread send me a friend request to solve it. BUT, I updated the group I created to be for ALL ELMSN students since we will all be together during the prelicensure part of the program. The name of the group is "Samuel Merritt Sacramento 2015 ELMSN Class". Search that.

THATS A GREAT IDEA! and a great way for all of us to work together as a team instead of dividing us apart! Love it! I'll go find the page :)

Exactly! That was my bad for creating a separate one at first. The other person in our group (can't use names on allnurses) reminded me that we'll all be together for a while so we changed it.

For those of you that didn't catch it earlier, there is a Facebook group for all the new ELMSN students (CM and FNP). One group for all of the candidates since we'll all be together for the first 18 months of the program. Search for "Samuel Merritt Sacramento 2015 ELMSN Class"

Found out I was wait listed and am pretty disappointed as it is a worse spot than I was waitlisted last year. I am trying to remain positive but it is really hard. I am a reapplicant and I just don't know what they want me to do differently. I met with admissions counselor and talked on the phone multiple times and followed the advice she gave me down to the tee, but still nothing. I have a family so moving is not an option for me. Unfortunately, I think my options are very slim and will be looking at other career options. I know this is what I want to do, so it is hard to put this behind me and move on, but what other choice is there.

Sorry for the downer, but that is excatly how I feel right now. I am still very excited for those of you who have received acceptance this year, you all deserve it
