Samuel Merritt Bsn Spring 2017

Published

I applied to Spring 2017 for Samuel Merritt's BSN program. I wanted to start a forum so we can all come to wait anxiously for our responses! I applied to Fall 2016, but was not accepted. Talked to ********** and was told it was because my application arrived on the later end, so they already filled the spots. So I applied early this time... And fingers are crossed!

Hoping to hear from others who are going through this agony waiting game too. I hear it wil be November before we get our letters. That is so long! Ugh. Good luck all! :sarcastic:

I was told that we find out mid oct, but last fall when I applied they had delayed the process as well so its very well possible. I hope they take into consideration that we have applied before and are persistent. I really don't want that rejection letter again, I cried a lot last time lol

Looks like mid October we'll be finding out! Anyone else get that email?

Oh I cried too. I went into a funk after. S.H at the school told me they do take that into consideration and they like to give more priority to people who have applied in the past... hopefully that helps :)

@Chezik22, yes I got the email too, we should be finding out then. Also there are 100 applicants (haha we are competing against ) Does anyone know how many seats are available? Best of luck to all!

I got it too!I don't know how many people but I have heard that there are a lot more seats available in the spring then in the fall, so that's a good sign. Did you talk to her about your application and why you were an accepted the last time?

Yeah, I did! I actually was not even going to apply in the spring because I was so disheartened, so I thought let me retake my TEAS, and maybe one class and reapply for the fall. However when I saw that the deadline was extended I reached out to SMU in curiosity and my file was looked at again and i was strongly encouraged to reapply for the spring, saying that I have a very good chance of getting in. I don't want to put my hopes up though because last time I was so heartbroken and before also told i am a competitive candidate” . But, I was basically told there were just too many applicants, and it was too competitive, but was strongly encouraged to reapply. Were you told anything?

Looks like there are 64 spots per semester, found that on their website.

That's what was said to me too í ½í¸¬ Hopefully, :$3 means it

ugh see, thats what I was worried about. That she was just saying it to everyone :( you know, because they are private school :(@erinnoel083
