I know you got in the June cohort through Spring 2021 waitlisted. Did you re-apply? I just want to know if I need to start my next application or wait to get an offer from admission. Thanks.

Hey all,

I know this was addressed a bit in the thread already, but I am confused as to why people have been taken of the wait list from the Spring '21 cycle to fill spots in the Summer '21 cycle. Seems like it will displace applicants with stronger applications. Can anyone shed light on this for me?

I don't mean to be disrespectful to the people that were fortunate enough to be taken off the wait list. You earned it! I'm just confused.

I don’t think they have a solid method of choosing applicants. We’re all just numbers and ultimately they just want their seats filled. This is my second time applying. Last cycle people who got in described their portfolio and mine was stronger than many of theirs (GPA, HESI/ work/ volunteer/ life experience). I wasn’t even waitlisted. When I asked for feedback they said there were many qualified people who deserved to get in who did not, and assured me I would eventually if I keep applying.

I think around the end of this month and beginning of next! I think the admissions people have said 2-3 months after we’ve submitted. I honestly should sit tight and maybe even start gearing up for submitting applications for the next cycle/cohort.

SFSU as well. I was considering apply to a few ADN programs but I doubt I’ll get in because I don’t have past medical experience.
