Samuel Merritt ABSN Summer 2020

Hi All,

I didn't see a thread for the Samuel Merritt ABSN summer 2020 cohort and just wanted to start one, as I know most of us are in the process of applying right now. I applied to the Sacramento campus, but am currently waitlisted. I just wanted to see if anyone has any recommendations on how to be more competitive aside from GPA (as I am going to retake some courses to up my GPAs). I love that Samuel Merritt looks at applicants holistically. Please share the wisdom , whether you are applying or you are already in the program. Thank you and have a blessed day !

Mine still says it's being reviewed as well. Jcat - have you been checking every day? Or was today the first day in a couple that you checked. Just trying to get a feel for when this changed, I'm guessing it was today.

CONGRATS! I found out the same way -- looked at my portal before receiving the email. They should be emailing you by today/tomorrow

ah, I'm in also for April in San Mateo (according to the portal)!! Can't wait to meet those of you who got in and will be my classmates, and I am rooting for all you who haven't heard yet. I know what it's like - so anxiety inducing! I'm sure more news will be coming soon.

Also - I was invited to the online orientation on Friday - can someone please let me know what time it's at? I haven't gotten the email invite yet. Need to let my manager know ? TY ?

This was my first time checking in about a week. I do think it just changed today because I also just received a phone call from Anne letting me know I was accepted.

I just found out I was waitlisted number 26 of 46 waitlisted people.

It said admission denied. It’s okay, I applied to all three. Two are denials and I’ve got one left, wish me luck!
