Just wanted to start an information-sharing thread for those applying for the ABSN Summer 19 cohort at Samuel Merritt University (in Oakland, CA and San Mateo, CA). Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! I am currently in the San Mateo January 2020 ABSN cohort. I wanted to know if any of you had created a facebook account for your cohort yet. We of the Jan 2020 cohort have a lot of files to share with you for classes, what books you need, advice, etc. Let me know if anyone has any questions/need anything. You are about to start on an amazing journey! And for those of you waitlisted, we had a lot of people unable to commit so a lot of people from the waitlist were able to join our cohort. So don't lose hope! You can email me at [email protected] if you have any specific questions.

I think that some one mentioned their due date for a deposit is 3/8. Probably after that I would imagine some movement, or notification!

Is there a way to find out if there is any movement on the waitlist or an email from SMU is the only way to know? Can someone who got accepted still submit the letter of intent after the deadline has passed?

Anne said she'd email people on the waitlist as soon as spots are available... but I wonder that too. Dying to hear!!!!

I was number 1 in Oakland waitlist, I received a phone call from Anne earlier saying I was accepted and should be getting an email tonight.
