Published

I haven't found a thread for this yet, so I figured I would start one! I am applying in August, after I have my grades from my summer courses. I was wondering what stats other applicants have as well :) I still have to complete human physio lab, general chem and lab, nutrition, and psych so I am not sure if I will get in this time around, but it can't hurt to apply!

Pervious major: Cell and Molecular Biology

Last 60 GPA: 3.4

Prereq GPA (so far): 3.9

TEAS Adjusted Individual Score: 92.7%

TEAS National and Program Percentile Rank: 99

Im excited to connect with other prospective students :)

For sure, BrandieRN2014. A few more days (or less) until we hear the news. Stayed tuned. :)

I hope those who applied to ABSN Oakland hear soon! That way...they can move onto San Mateo :)

I heard some troubling news. According to my friends already in the program Samuel Merritt hired a new "Dean of Admissions" just recently which might explain this delay, and could mean further delays. I am trying to get more information about it.

Ugh. Thats disturbing news. :( how much longer can we wait? School starts in two months.

I honestly don't know. I mean who knows, it may not even delay the process even more. I just don't like the fact that this happened while applications are being reviewed.

Yikes - thanks dkol97 for letting us know. *Hopefully* this doesn't affect the 3/15 deadline mentioned to our cohort.

Two more days to go for 03/15...

Dkol97 - I know. It's just frustrating. :(

Hello friends,

I wanted to let you know the latest info that I have. I emailed the admissions counselor and she said that she was "hoping for tomorrow. Emphasis on 'hoping'". Lets all cross our fingers and our toes and hope for this to happen!

Brandie

Hmm that's exactly what they said two(ish) weeks ago. That was for Oakland right? Let's hope that happens.

I REALLY hope we hear tomorrow, but if they still haven't narrowed down the choices then I don't see how that will happen. Maybe Oakland will find out tomorrow, but I think those of us who applied to San Mateo will be waiting until next week :-/ Even if they make final decisions in the morning, they would still need to call almost 100 people (48 for Oakland and 48 for SM)...that doesn't seem possible (from the previous threads it seems like one person makes all the calls). Last year SM didn't find out until the 22nd, unfortunately it looks like we may be in the same situation this year. Luckily I live in SF and I wont be relocating so I don't "need" to know (although I do need enough time to line up loans), but the wait is driving me crazy!!!
