You need CPR HCP (CPR for Health Care Providers). I am pretty sure the American Heart Association offers this class, but I would check with them to see if it is included in the Amazon deal. Also, if they are offering any sort of deal I would sign up ASAP since it will probably fill up faster than normal :)

I also received my acceptance to San Mateo around 2am!!! So excited to meet you all, and good luck to anyone who hasn't heard!!!

I'm not sure, but I know past cohorts have tried to figure that out and it doesn't look like they go in alphabetical order. I'm assuming they will notify Oakland first but within each cohort it looks random. I'm so anxious! I feel like every time I get my mind off of SMU someone asks me if I have found out yet. Crossing my fingers that we all have good news to share by the end of this week :)

At least we know now as opposed to waiting all day tomorrow, not hearing anything, and worrying all weekend! Looks like we are back to the "7 more days" countdown.

I REALLY hope we hear tomorrow, but if they still haven't narrowed down the choices then I don't see how that will happen. Maybe Oakland will find out tomorrow, but I think those of us who applied to San Mateo will be waiting until next week :-/ Even if they make final decisions in the morning, they would still need to call almost 100 people (48 for Oakland and 48 for SM)...that doesn't seem possible (from the previous threads it seems like one person makes all the calls). Last year SM didn't find out until the 22nd, unfortunately it looks like we may be in the same situation this year. Luckily I live in SF and I wont be relocating so I don't "need" to know (although I do need enough time to line up loans), but the wait is driving me crazy!!!

That's good that they are still aiming for the first half of March! I just passed the pathophysiology and psychology tests through Excelsier and although I'm glad those are over, now I have all the time in the world to sit around and wait lol. It's going to be a long 11 days

Congratulations Shyloh!!!! Thats so exciting. What made you choose that program over the ABSN, or why did you apply to both? I was debating between the two so I would love to hear your perspective :) Im sure they have a reason for letting the ELMS applicants know first, like yedwards pointed out, but it makes it harder to wait! Im looking at it this way- the more cohorts/applicants they notify, the closer they get to oakland/san mateo ABSN! Crossing my fingers for next week!

Thank you smiley! dkol- It seems like SMU had a lot going on around this time last year, such as closing the SF campus. Im hoping that was a fluke since previous cohorts did not find out that late :) Only time will tell!

It's finally March! The past few months have gone by so fast, but now that we are nearing the end of the "end of February-begining of March" time period the days are slooooooooowly creeping by. Hopefully we hear soon! For those who applied to the San Mateo June cohort, is anyone commuting from SF? I live in the city but I couldn't apply to the April cohort since I am finishing my last prereq this semester :-/

Congratulations!!!!! Maybe that means we will hear about San Mateo sooner than I thought, since they were saying SF acceptances would go out mid February. Good luck!!
