Samuel Merritt ABSN Summer 2012

Hi everyone! :nurse:

So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application?? :up: :down: What campus did you apply to?

Registration begins 4/23. Does anyone know if there is an orientation or anything else before that yet? I wonder if we register got classes online or at San Mateo or Oakland...also I wonder if we should contact financial aid office ourselves right away? Any advice?

Have Oakland cohort Received any info... I just kno the orientation may be may 14 or 15th

Yes contact financial aid urself... They officially contacted me last week...but I'd get a headstart

Also, I thought that they send rejection letters via mail, not email. :confused:

LovePaws, where did you find out about registration date? I didn't see it in my e-mail. I also want to know when the orientation will be and what textbooks to buy. I wanna start reading before classes begin.

Mistake? Ehhhh....I doubt it. The only thing I can think of is that MAYBE it was my essays? After taking 4 summer classes (Anatomy, Physio, Patho and Pharmacology...all A's) and taking the TEAS right before the deadline of 9/1, my brain was shot. I basically had 2 days to right 3 essays, fill out the app and get my LOR's. But still, I feel as though my essays were pretty decent, if not...really good! I don't know. We'll see. I'll ask on Monday and see if I get a response. Either way, thanks for the support and the kind words. I'll keep you guys posted if I find out more info...

P.S. I got the rejection email in the last 20 minutes of the movie "Hunger Games." Ouch!

I got accepted to oakland and was contacted on Wednesday... But I did apply for fafsa 2011-2012 a few weeks ago

Thanks pnlu007. Sorry it gets confusing trying to keep the different cohorts straight. Yes I did the fasfa too 2010 in but haven't filed 2011 yet so had to estimate so far. You are right I'll definitely call the office to ensure I'm on the right track. Thanks for the info!
