So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application?? :up: :down: What campus did you apply to?

Hold on, tigo! It looks like they are trying hard to let the people know asap now. If you get waitlisted, at least you won't have to wait long as the letters of intent are due in basically 8 days. Be strong!

I'm going to go to my local credit union to ask about student loans they offer on Saturday. Let's get together some time on some weekends (next preferable for me), guys. We can share ideas of how to get financing and etc.

Great call on meeting each other and discussing financing. I already sent my YES letter of intent over this morning. I won't be in here next fri - mon but hopefully I will be in town for the meetup! Maybe we could do it on Thursday afternoon next week. I wonder if most people already live in san mateo?

I straight up did not get in at all. I didn't even get a waitlist spot. What's weird about this is that my stats are great! 3.9+, 94% TEAS, volunteer work, etc. Maybe it was my essays that weren't powerful enough? I don't know. I'm gonna send an email to the counselor I've been in contact with and ask exactly what I may have been able to do differently.

It's devastating news for me! With complete confidence that I was gonna get into SMU, I didn't send out any apps to other schools. I'm gonna cool off today, do a bunch of research over the weekend on other 12 month ABSN programs around the country, and then start making moves on Monday to complete those apps. I'm willing to go anywhere in the country that has a 12 month ABSN program. So...we'll see...

Wow Jason... That sucks. I'm sorry. Let us know if you hear back from the counselor that you have been in contact with. Maybe there was a mistake?

It's gotta b a mistake Jason...because ur scores should put u at the top. I volunteered but it wasn't anything signicant...just grabbed supplies at the hospital. If u think it was ur essay I would find someone from the school u took prerequisite to edit?..if u r serious ant going anywhere for school, try nursingCas.org it is a application website a lot of schools use, not comprehensive but u can quickly find which schools that r still accepting applications for this fall or summer
