So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application?? :up: :down: What campus did you apply to?

I don't think they ever take that message down. I also think that wait listers and late applicants have extremely good chances this year bc so many people are forced to take other options since the super-late acceptance notices. I so hope SM June hears early next week.

Just got off the phone. I was offered a spot in the SF cohort. I plan to accept but still hope to get into the Oakland,

Also found out that I have moved to ten on the Oakland wait-list from an original position of 23.

I got an email today asking about my IP courses for San Mateo June cohort.. so it looks like our June apps are starting to move.

I was talking to some people about this too. Because it seems like SMU doesn't do what other schools do, that is, accept more people than they think will attend. So they really only accept 48 students per cohort, and then just have this really big waiting list that they know they're going to use.

I'm usually not a big believer in 'the economy' as a thing (much...too...complicated) but that's probably a factor. Plus, you know, there are other schools in the world! And there probably were plenty others smart enough to apply to more than one school (unlike me, ha ha). So you know. I'm fine with that, because hopefully a whole bunch of people are now going where they want to go :)

iwannabeanurse, I just have a crazy amount of belief that you're going to be joining us. I really think they're going to be exhausting that wait list.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys!! If nutella got in, then I am 2 people away from a spot. If today is the day, I forgot my phone at my house, so we shall see.

No more waiting for me, guys! I just got a call from ----- that I got accepted to San Mateo cohort. I seriously started crying while on the phone with her. She even asked me if I'm there... such an emotional moment after all this waiting. I really hope you guys will get phone calls today or tomorrow too. That was too much waiting for all of us.
