Samuel Merritt ABSN Summer 2012

Published

Hi everyone! :nurse:

So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application??  What campus did you apply to?

I was venting to you, guys... but when I called and left a message for EB, I was polite and could contain my emotions within acceptable limits. I didn't mean to insult anyone. I hope it won't hurt my chances to get in.

bwilliams398, this e-mail was not necessary indeed but what's done is done.

I also agree that the e-mail was unnecessary. Also, if you're going to be quoting the members here to a faculty of SMU, maybe it would be wise to first ask permission from the member to make sure that they're okay with being put on blast.

ahhhh!! I am so sorry to the San Mateo peeps!! That sucks to keep having to wait!!! Remember us Oakland wait-listers are still waiting with no explanation as to why people behind us on the wait-list were accepted before us. Hang in there! You aren't alone in this long, DRAWN OUT wait! I am a total planner, so this wait is driving me NUTS! Fingers crossed for us all!

When was it said that people were getting in off the wait-list out of order?

dang it! I wrote this whole reply and it never went through!!!

page 52 indicates number 35 got IN and page 51 indicates number 29 (Tamosaur) got IN. Numbers 10 - 25 have heard nothing, except that we have moved up 5 spots, which means numbers 1 - 5 also got in and means that you are now number 18 on the wait-list. 29 and 35 were on the wait-list for Oakland, but were accepted to the SF cohort, which will be taught in San Mateo this year.

I think you're misreading the posts. It looks like people were accepted into the SF Cohort off of the Oakland waitlist.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. They were accepted off of the OAKLAND wait-list. I am number 20 on the Oakland wait-list and number 29 and 35 which are behind 20 were accepted OFF of the OAKLAND wait-list. They were accepted into the SF cohort. That is exactly what I said. Am I not making sense? I'm confused... The whole point is that they were further down the wait-list and they still were accepted while I am still stuck on the wait-list.

oakland waitlisters - did you guys get an e-mail saying that you need to state your interests in the April and June cohorts in San Mateo? I just received that e-mail because I am still on the Oakland waitlist. It looks like there's still room in the April and June cohorts so I suggest you e-mail them immediately to let them know that you're willing to go to any campus.

If you did not get the e-mail, let me know your e-mail via PM and I will forward it to you.

I hope you get into the same cohort as me!!!

So Tamo - are you going to accept the San Mateo offer or stay on the Oakland wait-list?

P.S. so is the SF cohort in April still going to be taught in San Mateo? Because that was not mentioned in the email...

I've accepted the April cohort already so I'm off the Oakland waitlist but they're still treating me as if I'm on it still.

The SF/April cohort is going to be taught at the SF learning center when the program starts but will move to the San Mateo learning center when the building construction over there is finished. The lady I spoke to estimated that April/SF cohort will be moving to San Mateo in July but she cannot tell me for sure because nothing is finalized yet.

Yay tamosaur we may be in the same program IF I get approved for private loans...I still have not received any packet from the Financial Aid so I dont know how much to request for..eh..
