Hi everyone! :nurse:

So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application?? :up: :down: What campus did you apply to?

I've been in contact with an awesome counselor since the beginning of the year and I JUST emailed her after I received my email saying that my application was "in progress." I asked her what's next in the process, what are the major upcoming dates and roughly when we would get a decision by. She just responded a few hours ago. Look below...

THANKS! The files will go to faculty December 1 and we will get decisions in early January =) "

Maybe she's under-promising and over-delivering? Hopefully we'll know in early to mid December. We'll see...

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the update! I have yet to get an email from them. I'm getting pretty antsy. I think I will email them regarding that. Seems kind of weird that only a few received an email and the rest of us didn't. Then again, there are a lot of applicants who are not on Allnurses. It's probably safer to send them an email rather than wait for nothing. Which counselor did you talk to? Was it one that's specifically for the ABSN program?

Hi Becky!

Not to worry, I have not heard anything yet. I got very impatient a few days ago and emailed both ABSN counselors. I got in touch with one of them and she said that the other counselor is going to be in contact with me. So, I'm guessing they split the applications among the counselors (???). I kinda gave up waiting for an email from them. It's hard to get anything done when all I'm doing is sitting in front of my computer refreshing my email account every 5 minutes hahaha. I'll keep you updated when I receive an email. It is getting a bit frustrating.

Oh, and the counselor who was suppose to be in touch with me was out of her office until yesterday.

I hope you get in this time! Waiting is such a difficult game to play. I applied for San Mateo. That's why I was getting so anxious about the application progress email because it seemed like people who applied to San Mateo were getting emails. Eh, we'll see what happens. I'll keep bothering them if that's what it takes.

Hi all,

I just thought I'd check in and let you know that received an email from SMU last week that they are processing my application, but they let me know that I may have to take the challenge exam for one of the requirments. We have been going back and forth about it, but right now, I don't know the outcome. Wish me luck!!! Have you heard anything let optimism87?
