Hi everyone!
So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application??
What campus did you apply to?
Thanks for sharing the information...i do not know much about national university...but make sure u guys check if it is a for profit school or not ala university of phoenix...and i would be very thorough in checking out what there clinical program is like...just some pitfalls you guys need to be aware of. i had a friend that did a AA program thru Kaplan University in SD, he says it is what you make of it...but the instructors are not strong...he got his degree and is working in the bay...so it works out...but can be a challenge.
I have not called but Oakland cohort has til March 10 to send in letter of intent and they pull off wait list all the way til first day of classes. I am "ASSUMING" that they won't move on to SM cohort until they have most of the Oakland cohort somewhat settled (which would be after March 10)????
SMU wants the Letter of Intent received by 03/15.
I'm going by a date that some of the people I know on Oakland cohort Waitlist were given. 3/10 is what they are waiting for. It's possible it's not a hard deadline. Regardless of exact dates, I still assume they are handling Oakland cohort before moving on to SM cohort.
Hello! I'm new to the thread, but have been following it since our apps were due back in September. I just wanted to let people know that I received a voice-mail from E saying that I was accepted into the San Mateo cohort starting in April. :)
But that also causes some confusion because I thought the SM cohorts start in June?
Anyways, hope that info eases some nerves, even if it's just a little bit.

Not sure if this is helpful or not but I figure sharing information is always a good thing particularly for those that didn't get in this time. My friend, who is a nurse, recently emailed me information about National University starting a new ABSN program in Fresno. They just got accredited or are in the process (sorry, I didn't check the details yet.)
