Hi everyone! :nurse:

So, the applications are due today (September 1st) for summer admission to ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. How does everyone feel about their application?? :up: :down: What campus did you apply to?

Well, I am a planner, so I'd like to know as soon as possible so that I can plan and budget for my life. Without my income right now, my life will significantly change, so I'd just like to be prepared. :) Thanks for putting things into perspective though ElenaH.!! If today is the day that we find out... You guys will have to keep me posted, because I'm sitting here at my desk in San Francisco and my phone is sitting on my kitchen counter in Dublin. Boo!!!

She never responded to my email when I asked her how many applicants they had this year... I'm kinda taking that as a bad sign... Normally she responds to me. Anyone else? ;)

Pnlu007,I sent an email to ----- last night asking her if she could give me an approximate date when we should expect to hear back and if I should start the next application. She just responded back with this:"I really cannot say. If you need to reapply, I will not hold you against a deadline. Hopefully, you will not need to do that."I might call today and ask.

seems like she responded to ur question about the next application, but didn't address the date we should expect to hear. Haha that sucks.

hey, so i was looking at the message board for the people that were going through same thing we are last year. take a look at this link...

for the people that were in the same boat last year, they started to find out for the sf campus on 2/11, friday. then, on 2/18 & 2/19 (saturday), they started to find stuff out for the san mateo campus. it definitely is nerve wrenching, but it was like this last year, it's exactly the same this year, and people will probably be having the same conversations the next year and the next. although i'm hoping to hear something asap, i have a feeling we'll hear something at the end of this week and the start of next week. just gotta keep those fingers and toes crossed till then...

Hiyeeeee,

I gave in this AM and left ------ a message. I decided that I just had to talk to someone so I opted to get transferred to a different admissions counselor, ----. She answered and was extremely reassuring. I told her the whole sitch and she said that if I we didn't get any news by Friday and I also had not heard back form EB with at least an update, I should call Director of Admissions. She gave me --------'s direct line (I am sure that it is on the SMU website too). This is all we got folks.

I will call her Friday AM if still no news and I will let you know if I get a response from -----. --------- was very sympathetic and said that she totally gets it.

PS -------- is the admissions counselor for the ELM program and also does advising for pre-reqs, etc.
