Hey guys! I'm new to this forum but has anyone applied for Spring 2018 Cohort yet? I'm not sure if the applications are open yet but that is the cohort that I want to apply to. I will have my BA in Sociology in December 2017 and I am still doing my prerequisites. If you've already applied or are a current student, let me know if you think I'll have a chance at getting in.
Degree: BA in Sociology
Last 60 unit GPA: 3.4 (hoping to raise it to 3.6 by end of year)
Science GPA: 3.5 (still need to do Microbiology & Physiology)
Non-Science: 3.1 (Completed all)
CNA License: Yes
Paid Job Experience: Yes for 1.5 years
*Haven't taken HESi exam yet, but I will this month
Please help, what were your GPA's when you got in and when did you find out you were accepted? Also, if you were ever on the waitlist, when did you finally get accepted?
Hello I'm applying for the next cohort, I'm a bit lost about the HESI transcript, if anyone could help me with it I'd be so very, very grateful!
I took the exam twice, and I'm trying to figure out how to fill out the HESI Transcript Request form. It asks for the date I took the exam, do I put the most recent exam? Also if I only put one date does that mean it will only send that exam to SMU? Or will it send both? It also asks for an email to send it to, should I use [email protected] ?
Hi PangolinSaja. I'm not sure what the process is for the HESI portion. Maybe contact one of the admission counselors? They've been pretty helpful throughout my application process.
No. But I JUST received an email from Samuel Merritt entitled "Application for January 2018 Nursing Success! Now Open" and my heart skipped a beat, thinking it was an acceptance email! Just a notification about the Nursing Success seminar they offer.
The email I received from Derric saying that we will hear in "the next two weeks or so" was sent September 19th. I am SO hoping we find out tomorrow but I have a feeling we will have to wait until next week. Hoping that all of us here get in! It has been nice to have this space to share! Good luck to everyone.
