Starting a new thread for the Spring 2011 SMU applicants for the Sacramento Campus and all others as well.
Post your stats, any other important information you might have heard about the applicants, questions, concerns, anything!!
My stats:
Already been in nursing school- Dropped OUT- UGH, why????? *I digress...
*Received a degree from Sac State already, Cum Laude
Science G.P.A.= 3.4
Overall G.P.A. = 3.5
Teas= 84.1
1 year of healthcare experience
1 year of nursing school experience
Multiple community involvement experiences- ERG's, Volunteer on Diversity teams, Church, internships, mentoring, tutoring
*Hoping that this may be the year because I'm going no where fast in my current job field and I want to return to a profession that I have a passion for and am good at!!
So...does this mean they will start calling us, once they have made a decision? Or will they wait until October 1st to start calling? And, do rejections come in the form of a letter or do they make rejection calls too? Hmmmm....a stressfull next couple of weeks...
When I spoke with Sacramento last week, I was told people who are accepted and on the waitlist will be notified via telephone, while rejection letters are sent via mail. Hope this helps!
Just an FYI: I got an email today stating that I have one prerequisite left and must show proof of completion by 12/17 if I am accpeted. Also, the email said that my application is with the faculty now, being reviewed....The header of the email had Application Reviewed in it, so of course, when I opened it I was so nervous, but it didn't say anything about being accepted. ...Not sure if this is good or bad or nothing (probably).
Thanks for the fyi. Did you apply to San Mateo or Sacramento? I have 2 in progress classes, but haven't received anything yet; I applied for the ABSN is Sac.
I only applied to the Sacramento program. I just started the Human Development class, so it was the one that needs to be completed by 12/17. Hopefully, we all get in!!! :up:Good luck to you too!!! I hate the waiting.....

I received a similar email today. I applied to Sacramento.
I'm pretty sure I never get any type of update from Samuel Merritt. Maybe they lost it? I am currently taking Patho, so I will get on them to send a transcript as soon as I take the final.

You can email them if you're applying to the Spring 2011 ABSN San Mateo cohort and ask if they received your application. I've gotten 3 updates so far, one that they received it, one to tell us to send the transcripts directly to them and another one telling me I need to send them my transcript once I'm finished and that my application is in review. Hope that helps :)
I don't want to be nosy Nancy but would you mind letting us know what your stats were....I wonder if I am not in, since they said they were reviewing my application and I did not recieve a call. Hmmmm.....I am being psycho.....I know. Good luck to everyone! This is stressful!
