Samuel Merritt ABSN Fall 2020

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get the conversation started for those who will be applying for the ABSN Fall 2020 cohort. I will be applying for the Sacramento location by the April 1 deadline. Is anyone finishing up their requirements now to do so as well? I'd love to connect with you!

I contacted them last week and they said decisions will be released mid-July.

Mid-July for decisions

Waiting is painful. This is my third time applying for the ABSN program. Waitlisted two times prior. For the Fall 2019 cohort, I received my waitlist notification on the 18th of July. For the Fall 2020 cohort, I received preliminary review notification on May 15th. Nothing else since. I've been accepted to the ADN at Yuba. If I don't get into SM I'll go to Yuba then do an RN to MSN program.

This morning I emailed the Sacramento admissions counselor and she said decisions will be sent out in July. Frustrating! So I need to apply for the Spring start by July 1 just in case.

Thanks for the info. I'll stop checking my email every hour!?

It is almost time guys!

mann I don't know if any school delay like this LOL

Some schools have pushed their applicants to the next cohort. For example, American River Community College isn't processing the 2020 Fall applicants. Instead they will admit fall applicants in the Spring.

Hello Everyone!
I’ve been following this thread & was just curious what GPA everyone is applying with? I would say stats but since the HESI is omitted it’s really based on GPA & Personal Statements. My GPA is 3.6. Since the wait for an answer has been so long, I’m honestly just curious what my chances really are of receiving an acceptance! I wish you all the best!!

I have been curious too about everyone’s stats!! My preq GPA is 4.0 and my undergrad is 3.7. I squeaked in right before Covid to take my HESI and the overall was a 98%.

Question for you guys... Do you know if they will be factoring Summer courses into the GPA calculation?
