Hello everyone, I haven't seen a thread for the ABSN Fall 2021 Start (Sacramento, San Mateo) so here it is. ?

Would you mind sharing your stats with us please? Also, I wonder if they're sending out decisions based on last names or through the order they received apps

It so weird how the decisions on the portal are just slowly rolling in randomly and no emails have gone out. I am hesitant to create a portal account because in my overthinking mind I was worried bc it said not to create one unless you have been admitted, but I’m glad someone has gotten some good news from it.

Hi Everyone! I just checked the portal and it says I have been accepted!! I am beyond ecstatic and honestly can't believe it. I still have not received the official email but from what I've heard that if its says you have been admitted on the portal then that means you got in. Good luck to everyone else!

congrats @Denise32 and thanks everyone! I'm still in shock tbh and I might be for a while. I mentioned before that I'm older and this is a really big career change for me so I'm very nervous about it, but also excited! For what it's worth, I do think that my age and professional experience, as well as the career change aspect, may have played a role. I know the ABSN program is well designed for people who are going back to undergrad because they don't have a science background. So I'm happy to share my stats but I do think that my background may have played a role too. 

My science GPA was 4.0, but I had classes in progress when I applied. One of them I finished but I'm still working on Patho and Pharmacology. I scored 88.9 on the TEAS. I've worked in the healthcare setting as a doula, both paid and volunteer, and I've worked as a health educator at various hospitals. My LORs were from a DNP who is also a nursing professor, my supervisor at a hospital, and someone who has taught with me in a private setting. 

I truly wish the best to everyone, whether you are in this round or the next!

I checked my portal an hour ago and it told me not to be checking because I’m not an admitted student. Just checked, and it says “congratulations” ?. Good luck to everyone! This is my second time applying, please don’t give up!
