Samford University FNP-January 2014 Start

Hey everyone! I just received my notification letter about getting into Samford university FNP for January 2014.

I would like to know if anyone has gone there and has any tips for success, tips for studying, etc.

Also, is there anyone starting in January 2014?!

Congrats !! I am considering them for my FNP. Are you doing the bridge or do you have a BSN already ? Online or in person ? Congrats again :)

I already have my BSN. So it will be straight to the MSN for me :) Thank you! I think you should consider the program :) I have heard nothing but great things about it!

Does anyone know if new grads are accepted?

I think the general thought process of most if not all universities whether they come out and tell you is that they prefer 2-3 years of experience at least. I know that when I applied right out of school, I didn't get in and I have an excellent GPA and references. When I asked why, the experience factor came up. I am glad though. I definitely have much more knowledge and critical thinking than when I first started so I recommend thinking about that before applying. Good luck!

My co-worker and I were also accepted for January 2014. We are on the RN-MSN track as we both have our associates. I am very excited to start this journey and look forward to meeting everyone. Congrats to all.

Myself and three other classmates recently graduated in August and were accepted to the program. However, we have all practiced as a chiropractic physicians for over ten years each. I doubt we would have been accepted without any clinical experience.

I wanted to ask are most of you (applicants) from the area, former students of Samford University, or outside of the Alabama area? I wanted to know if they gave more preference to residents, alumni, or just accepted based on stats? Thank you in advance for your answers. I wish all of you the best of luck and success.

Hey guys, I am a DC- going into my FNP, going to samford university... started few days ago

I was hoping that I can speak to someone that is ahead of me in the semester or has finish....and they can give me some help how to get through this program..
