Is anyone out there applying to SHSU's Fall BSN program?

How many of you did your prerequisites at SHSU?

I did not take any of my prerequisites at SHSU

Im also applying. I already have all the requirements except for the test. So please for those who have already taken it, any information would help. I got the ATI package, i hope it's enough to be able to prepare myself . My gpa is 3.7 for the science classes and 3.5 overall. Good luck!

@ssz23 My best advice is just take the practice tests but not the day before, give your brain a rest day! Also, my test room was super cold so take a jacket.

I took mine in October because I applied for UTMB Fall 2014, the deadline was January 15th for them.

Overall: 87.3

Reading: 97.6

Math: 90.0

Science: 83.3

English: 76.7

The UTMB site said, "A minimum composite score of 58% is required. Historically, a competitive score has been 78% in each section."

Thank you. I think more than anything it's the pressure of knowing I only get one chance of taking the test. I can just keep studying and studying. Btw Congratulations on your scores and good luck :)

I'm so glad I found this thread. I was rejected to UT Health Houston and UTMB for Fall 2014 admissions and I thought I was out of luck until Spring. Looks like I have one more shot at getting into a program for Fall! I will be applying after this semester ends.

Only prereq I have to take for SHSU is the 1 hr kinesiology class (KINE 2115). Can anyone tell me what this is equivalent to? I'm looking at my community college courses and I don't see anything with that.

Does anyone know if this school has received accreditation from the CCNE yet? It seems this program is brand new.

I was also wondering about the developmental psych class. Does the class have to be taken at SHSU? I took it at my CC not too long ago.

I took mine at a cc too, but when I look at my application there is a blank for that class. I'm thinking that it can be taken at any university, just not at a cc

Yes I can review my application on the website it shows the gpa and courses
