If you are not already living and working there, then please post your questions on the International Forum, as you will have to go thru licensure as well as immigration so the pay is going to be different for you.

i'm an RN and have 6 years of experience in general nursing. i work in Brisbane for the public health system and earn $29 base rate per hr. I get 20% loading on top of that if i work night shifts. i get 50% loading if i work a Saturday, and 75% loading if i work a Sunday. There is a loading of 12.5% if you do an afternoon shift.
I like to work at least 2 weekends a month, so i get more money(and reduce the risk of spending it!) i estimate i earn around AUS$55000-60000 per year.
hope this helps.
one other thing... the standard of living here is high. food, rent, housing, petrol, clothing is expensive.

I am a second year registered nurse. I earn base rate about 48200, per year. However with penalties I think I'll gross close to 60000 if not more. Also, in the public system your wages keep going up in yearly increments.
As an enrolled nurse I earnt the top rate as I was at the 5th year level. It was the equivalent to a first year RN.
Remember each state has different salary systems.

I'm assuming that the dollars you are citing are Australia dollars, not US dollars?
So $60,000 AUD is actually US 39,000 ?

The pay is not any different for people who emigrate to Australia than for local nurses.
Pay depends on which state, which health system (public v private), which hours you work, what penalties you get etc. I think mine was around $75-80K/pa (AUD) as a clinical nurse specialist.
