Have you researched both schools to find out what the requirments are? That would be a start in the right direction. Often times schools use different sets of criteria to admit students. Some schools are only GPA, some want you to pass certain exams, some give points to where you live, some want you to write an essay and go throught an interview process. Im not sure about the schools you mentioned, but find out the process at those schools and it will help you match your strengths to the best chance you have of getting into a program.
I go to a strictly GPA school and I like this method. It works for me because I like the fact I can work hard and it will get me somewhere. Go to the Michigan regional section and do a search for those schools, I bet there are threads about them.

Hi there!
I go to SVSU and I'm in the program right now. I cannot say enough good things about the school. We don't do waiting lists and they accept 65 people each semester. Idk how many OU accepts but I know they have a waiting list. I heard its a few years long. If youre coming in from high school, check into the freshman admit at SVSU. Thats what I did and I was able to start as soon as I was done with my pre-reqs. Also, have you seen our new building?? Its the best in the state!
I heard the facility is very good! But Is it a good program? Because you did say you cant say a few good things about it. But Im not qualified for the freshman program. My ACT score and g.p.a is good but it does not meet their criteria.
I said that I cant say ENOUGH good things. So yes, the program is good. I really like all my professors and everything is well organized.
