After telling somebody that I was excited to be getting my lpn school uniform, I was told that LPN meant Little Pretend Nurse. this made me sad, I have worked Very hard to get where I am, I have taken ALL of my prerequisites for the RN program as well but I have chosen this path. Didn't make for a great day
Comments like that irritate the crap out of me. I'm starting my PN program in August and everyone is already asking me why in the world would you go to PN school, I thought that you wanted to be a RN. It drives me crazy!
I do want to be a RN and plan to do the bridge program once I pass the NCLEX, but right now LPN is the right path for ME!

The next time someone makes a comment like that to you, look them square in the eye and say "Why on earth would you say something so rude to me?"
(After the person wanders off in embarrassment, feel free to laugh. I've yet to come across anyone wo can handle being challenged so directly.)
