Nursing Students School Programs
Published Aug 27, 2016
Hey guys,I didn't see a thread yet for the spring '17 program so I figured I'd start one. CSU nursing programs are more competitive than ever, so let's try to help each other through this extremely nerve-wracking process!

Has anyone started a Facebook group page yet for our incoming session?

I haven't heard or seen anyone start up a FB page yet. If no one is willing, I would be more than happy to take the initiative to create one. Based on postings from previous cohorts, communication among us is critical to surviving the program as schedules can change with short notice.
Yeah, think it would be good. Everyone seems to reccomend it. If you could start one up that would be great!
Anyone attending the Castlebranch presentations?
Alright guys, I got around to making the FB page. So if you all type in CSUS Nursing Class of Fall 2018, it should pop up. Let me know if it doesn't. As for the Castlebranch presentation, I will be attending the one scheduled for Monday. Hope to see some of you there!

Hey All!
I also started a Facebook page and I have a few students in it from Sac State who got accepted to the program! Can't wait to meet you all! Search for "Sac State Nursing Class of Spring 2017"!
See you soon!

Hey guys....for those of you accepted into the program, get started on memorizing your lab values & medical abbreviations! Get a head start before the programs begins....Good luck!
Thanks for the post. Do you have a specific resource you reccomend?
Your Med Surg book that you purchase as a bundle should have some resources...Lab values will vary in different books, hospital value protocols, etc... But they should be close in value (i.e. 3.5 or 3.8). Look on internet...
Just familiarize yourself with the values, esp. chem panels, hematological values (WBC, RBC, platelets, etc.), cardiac (troponin), so on so forth..
Good luck!
Okay, Thanks!
We are still waiting for the bundle to be available on the Sac State Bookstore website.
