Sacramento State Spring 2016 Application

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello everyone!

I'm new to this website and I'm planning on applying for Spring 2016. I know we still have a couple months before the application opens but I'm anxious! I've been looking forward to applying and can't wait to get going. Anyone else applying for next spring?

Thanks!

Is the student center the same as the student portal? And is the admission notification under the To Do list?

I know! I wasn't expecting them to update this soon, but it's a relief to have that part done. It would be awful to be accepted into the nursing program only to find out that there was an issue with the University enrollment.

Here are the most recent point cutoffs:

Spring 2014 69

Fall 2014 71

Spring 2015 73

Fall 2015 76

Based on this trend, the highest point cutoff for spring 2016 should be 79. There is a slight chance it can go off from this pattern but if does, I can't see it being higher than 80! It's safe to assume if you're at or above 80, you should be go to go! :)

I hope you are right. My guess is that the final cutoff for Spring will be 78 or 79 points. We'll see.

Yes! Click on "Student Center", then click on "Main Menu" at the top of the screen. You should see "Student Admissions", click on that. Then click "Sac State Admissions" and "Self Service App Status". It should tell you whether you have been accepted or if it is still pending. :)

Hi everybody! I need some advice. I took my teas, and I was 3% shy of what I need to have 76 points. My question is: Do you know if I can take it again in two weeks and do you think I have a chance of improving by 3%. My score was 85.3 and I need 88.0.

Yes, you can take it in two weeks. Just be aware that some schools require that you have a certain amount of time between attempts and other schools will only take your first or second attempts. This is just something to consider if you plan on applying to multiple schools for the Spring semester or for future semesters.

I personally think you have a great chance at improving your score. Now that you know what to expect you can really focus on your weak areas. A lot of people that I have talked to have done better on second and third attempts. Good luck!!

Hello, I am also applying to Sac's program! :) Does anyone happen to know the income or API cut offs for the economic points? #pointdesperate

I know on the nursing page, in all the information about the points, there is a link to the API web page where you can enter your high school info. Your schools score will pop up right away. I am not sure about the economic points but at the group advising session, they said they are very hard to get and hardly anyone qualifies. Hope that helps!

My sac state admission still hasn't been determined...it's bugging me! I attended many colleges so it made my csu application complicated when filling it out. Not even worried about the nursing application lol.

I wouldn't worry about it. I applied on the first day of the application period and I had my transcripts send right away. I'm sure your status will change by the 1st.

Yay! Checked today and I have been admitted to Sac! I'm glad that worrying is over lol. Now time to wait patiently until mid to late November for nursing program admission!
