Sacramento State (CSUS) Spring 2014 applications

Published

So it looks as though we don't have a thread going as of yet for the Sac State Spring 2014 Nursing application period, so lets get one going.

My name is Sarah and I am a current Sac State student. This is my first semester at sac state as I just transferred over from Sierra College in Rocklin. I am currently in Micro, but all other pre and co reqs done. Looking at 87 points if I don't get the 3 additional for optional criteria that I submitted for. I just submitted my application today, so now the wait begins.

On Friday one of the nursing advisors said we should get an e-mail this week regarding the pre- orientation checklist. I hope we get more information on the textbooks we'll need so that we can have time to look around for the best prices.

Cool, thanks for the info! I guess we just wait now.

Hey guys the checklist has been emailed! (It is actually a link to the website)

That crossed my mind as well, but I think we will be able to keep the ebooks as well, also someone from a previous thread (a year ago) posted the books they were using, in this thread > https://allnurses.com/california-nursing/sac-state-csus-783485-page29.html#post7100739

I did the math and if I buy some used and some new it will be about $320. I don't know if those books will be the same though. The bookstore had no useful information.

Yeah, I just hope she gets it to us pretty soon because I know we have to vaccines/ tests that take a while (like the 2 step PPD), so I want to get it done as soon as possible. Do you have any more GE classes you need to take btw?

I don't have anymore GE classes to take. Got the orientation e-mail! I am in Clinical Section #2. What about everyone else??

Section 8 here

Also, it looks like ebooks are required this semester...

Specializes in Neonatal, NICU level IV.

I was in section 2 when I was in first semester. Is it still at UCDMC? If so that is a great clinical rotation/professor!!:D

How can you check which section you're in?

No, it is at Sutter Roseville Hospital. Will that still be a good clinical rotation in your opinion?

Go to the orientation website, click on "Class Schedule and Registration Information" on the right hand side, and scroll all the way down to the last page and look for your name!

I found it. Thank you! I'm in section 3 at Sutter Roseville.

Sutter Roseville is a great hospital too. I am not sure who the faculty is this year.

To be honest, all of the rotations are good. Some of us just had a really great experience with a professor or hospital and it made an impact on us. The faculty at CSUS is amazing and I think you will have a good experience where ever you land. :D

You will have plenty of time to stress during school so be sure to bask in the glory of being accepted a little longer.

Congratulations to everyone that made it and good luck to those still waiting! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and starting the semester. Of course the pre-entry checklist will keep me busy until then.

Anyone else in clinical section 9?
