Hi All!
I'm currently applying for Sac state nursing fall 2014 as a transfer student. I'll have approximately 72 pts by the time of application. I cant wait for april/may to hear the results!
Interested in hearing about your experiences!

Hello! I attend Sac State and I'm sitting at a...
4.0 GPA
92% TEAS
100+ volunteer hours
and I wish I took 3 years of Spanish instead of 2 lol!
So that should be 88 points. Good luck to everyone..I am so nervous this wait is messing with my anxiety haha

Good luck to you too! I'm super nervous!! Does anyone know if the email they send you stating they have received your application also states how many points you have? Or if they accepted your supplemental criteria?

They email they send you when they have received your application will not state how many points you have. I think we find out how many points we have when they send us the admission decision in april/may. Its going to be a long wait, but at least February is almost over! :)
The email they send looks like:
We received your Fall 2014 Supplemental Nursing Application!
In the weeks ahead, please check your email frequently for important messages regarding your application. We will notify you of your admission decision by email before registration opens in late April/ early May (tentative).

I dropped off my application in person on Tuesday, now to play the waiting game. ;___;
Any predictions as to what the point cut off will be this time around?

Hi, everyone! I submitted my application last week and am now waiting around like everyone else. I have 86 points if I counted correctly. I think my chances are good, but that doesn't stop me from stressing out, haha. Sac State is my first choice, but the only thing I'm worried about is that since it's a commuter school it will be harder to meet people. I'm transferring from a Bay Area community college, and I feel like I never got the true college experience. I don't necessarily want to live in a dorm, but I would like to to able to hang out with a bunch of people my age for once. Does anyone have any thoughts on campus life there?
I hope the point cut off is 70! lol. I'm also a transfer student from the bay area so I wouldn't know! Anyone that currently goes to sac state here?

I go to SJSU currently. I also applied here. My cutoff is 75. I don't feel too confident.
I attended sac state; I am a transfer student from a local community college. Overall, I think Sac State has a relaxed atmosphere. The first couple weeks of school all of the clubs and greek frats/sororities set up booths and if you want to get involved you could join one of them. There are always events going on during the week and the weekends. It's not difficult to find a place to live if you are moving into Sacramento. There are a lot of apartments near Sac State and close by. Some of the nursing students even live together. The majority of the people at Sac Sac are in their twenties so I don't think you will have a problem finding people your age. (that is if you are in your 20s) I've never really had the "college experience" either; my family is local to the area so I live with them.
Thanks for the info, hj92! I appreciate the inside perspective.

Oh gosh you guys have such high points
I'm looking at 79 points and I'm starting to get really nervous even though I also applied to 3 other programs!
Which other schools are you guys hoping to get into? I applied to both Sac State and SF state.. crossing my fingers at least one will take me!
I've also applied to Sonoma State and CSU Stanislaus. I think I have the best shot at Sac, because their point system doesn't take overall GPA into account, just nursing GPA. I dropped out of UC Davis in my freshman year due to some personal issues, and that portion of my academic history really screws up my GPA. Since starting over at community college my GPA is close to a 4.0, but if you include Davis my overall GPA is more like a 3.3. We'll see how that affects me.
