Sac State Nursing for Spring 2018

U.S.A. California

Is anyone here applying in October for Spring 2018 nursing program at Sac State? I know this is the last semester to apply for the older criteria and CSUS will be changing the selection criteria for Fall 2018. What's your gpa? Teas score? points? I haven't taken the teas yet and I'm super nervous.

Hey! I'm applying for Spring 2018 too and am super nervous! Have you taken all the prerequisites and corequisites?

I applied with a 4.0 and a highest TEAS score of 92.0% with three of the optional points so I have 88 points total. Hopefully that is enough, I know they went really far down on the alternate list for the Fall semester that just began. Let these next two months go by fast

I'm applying! Not sure I'll get in because I'm on the point cut off line of fall semester :-/

GPA is 3.875, TEAS is 89.3% and hoping for 6 extra points to give me a total of 77.

@Ahummel92 great job!! I'm sure you'll get in!

I applied with 88 points!

I'm so nervous. I hope time flies quickly so we can find out if we got in.

Applying with 90 points. Good luck everyone!! Excited to see how everything turns out!

I also sent in my application for Spring 2018.

I need help! Does anyone know how low on the low-income status a student has to be in order to get the 3 points for "Economic Background"? I didn't find any information about this on the entire website! I emailed Teri about it, but still not sure if I'm considered "low-income". So, has anyone here already applied previous semesters or know a friend that got these points and knows how the Sac State Nursing staff qualifies low-income students vs. not low enough to get those 3 points? When I went to the admission advising session this year, the Nurisng representative said that a lot of candidates try to claim these +3 points but they aren't low enough on the low-income level.

My point breakdown: 50 for GPA, 23 for TEAS, 6 optional points, and hopefully 3 for Economic Background. Total is 79 points, but really striving for 82! Thanks in advance!!

Just applied with 86 points!! 3.897 GPA, 93.3% TEAS, and 6 optional criteria. Did you guys get a confirmation email or anything saying your application was received? And good luck everyone! Fingers crossed!

The response saying "you submitted your application successfully" when you pressed the submit button is the confirmation receipt. I don't think the School of Nursing is sending individual emails anymore. They moved to a different format so I think a lot of things are changing.

I applied with 92 points; 4.0 GPA, 94.0% TEAS, 3 optional criteria. I looked over my application at least a dozen times hoping I didn't make some funky mistake; looking forward to November! Good luck everyone :)

I'm applying with 91-94 points. GPA: 4.0= 50 points, TEAS: 95.3%= 41 points + hoping to get an additional 3 points for the bilingual proficiency for having taken 3 years of Spanish in high school. However, I didn't send in high school transcripts again because I figured they still have my transcripts from when I applied to Sac State as a freshman. So I'm hoping they add those points but I don't know if they will.

Good luck everyone!!!

Btw, does anyone know exactly when they will send out acceptance emails? I know it's some time in November.
