Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm a current first semester nursing student at Sac State. I was accepted in the Spring 2018 cycle. I had the same questions back then so I thought I could help you out. So yes, you can accept spots at multiple nursing schools while you wait on the acceptance. I was accepted to Stanislaus program much earlier that the preliminary results for Sac were released. Save your spot! Just in case. The downside is Stan requires a 200 intent to enroll fee that is due before you will find out if you get into Sac state. I called an advocates that other schools waive that fee until all acceptances are out, but they weren't biting lol. I paid it, others who are in the Sac program with me say they didn't. So how much risk you want to take there, or what you can afford to risk is up to you. Also as far as being a transfer student, I was too. The school of nursing registers you in all your courses. If you have any other general ed to take I would recommend waiting until a later semester to take them because you will have 12 units and be overwhelmed as is. But good luck, and I'm sure you will be fine :) just enjoy your summer the best you can before you start your nursing process. Hope I helped a little.

Yes, that was me until yesterday. Sacramento State just let students know who was admitted and Chico State doesn't until mid December. I accepted Sacramento State so I will be notifying Stanislaus and my spot will go to the next person on the waitlist. Good luck!

I agree the only area that could be wrong (I don't think it is, but of course us nursing students LOVE to over analyze) would be the extra points. My GPA and TEAS are what they are, so those points are straight forward. I believe I have 3 points for working in healthcare, I mean I did the form and have worked as a CNA for over 5 years so as long as those three points count than I am at 88 and I am in. If they don't for some strange reason, I am at 85. Right below that 80th person. I think we will make it too. 16 more days!

17 more days to find out if I did my application right and truly have the points I think I have. I feel pretty good about it, but that acceptance letter will sure help me be able to start to plan, oh I don't know, the next two years on my life! lol

I have 88 points too, so I am hoping that my application went right and that I didn't miss calculate. I agree 86 is an intense cut off and way to close for me to feel 100% comfortable until Nov 27. Here comes a long month of Nov...

Aksp, where did you get the information that the official decision is on Nov 27th? Last year in the update email they informed students they would know by Nov 18. The 27 seems so late to me, especially with all the pre admission stuff to get together like financial aide, ect. I am stressing over here.

Waiting to hear from Sacramento State still, that is my number one choice. If that happens I will be giving my spot up to someone on the alternate list.
