Sac State Nursing for Spring 2018

U.S.A. California

Is anyone here applying in October for Spring 2018 nursing program at Sac State? I know this is the last semester to apply for the older criteria and CSUS will be changing the selection criteria for Fall 2018. What's your gpa? Teas score? points? I haven't taken the teas yet and I'm super nervous.

Hi there!

I just got the email and was wondering, too!

I'm going to account it to the fact that because

1) there just so happens to be more applicants this time around

2) the new criteria set for those applying for Fall 2018 onward that was originally thought to help those applying (I personally think that while it makes you more competitive, it also brings in more competition), people think they have a better chance applying now.

I am also anxious, but I am also hopeful. This nursing program is extremely prestigious and impacted. Best of luck to you!

I didn't get an immediate rejection! I don't have the greatest amount of points on my end, so I am more hopeful! Best of luck to you!

There's a thread with more people here..https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/sac-state-nursing-1112705-page9.html

I agree. I think more people wanted to apply before the new criteria went into place.

Hey everyone- I have a good idea as to why there were 370 applicants this year. It might be because of the online applicant format, it's very convenient for people who live far away. See, people who live 3-4 or more hours away from sac state probably didn't want to apply when it was a paper application format since it would be a hassle driving back and forth. So once they have the option of completing everything from a computer, that gave them a huge advantage. Even with the documents, they just have to take a photo of it, upload it, and they are done with the application.
