Sac State (CSUS) Fall 2012 Applicants

Hi Achase, the final cut off for fall 2012 hasn't been made yet. The original 75 accepted, the bottom score was 69 points. Your cumulative gpa isn't a factor in your score, it is based on your prereq gpa (including things like english, speech and any coreqs you've already taken), your TEAS and the extra criteria. I ended up with 74 points, I had a 3.914 gpa, 88 on the TEAS and 3 points extra criteria (experience). If you go to the nursing website they have a page on all the criteria with point evaluations so you can figure out where you would place. Good luck!

I submitted my intent to enroll before admissions decisions were sent out. Then I declined my spot to go to CSUS but I still got the email to register for orientation. Should I just disregard it? I emailed the SON already and they know I'm not not accepting the offer, but do I have to let admissions know?

ATTN admitted students for Fall 2012!

I have a quick question: when you were admitted, did they give you a certain time frame to accept or decline your acceptance? And if so, what is that date by? I am just trying to figure out when they will start notifying the alternates. Thanks!

Hey to everyone who wants to apply for Spring, Sac State is NOT accepting transfer students so take a class or two from sac state to guarantee your eligibility as a current sac state student.The University is closed for the spring. I heard that the last time this happened the point cutoff for the BSN program was below 40 for admission (which cannot be verified its not listed on their stats because it is not comparable /Spring 2010) so for those with low GPA's, minimum teas there is a really good chance you could make it in Spring. I want to apply - transfer students, Admissions & Outreach, Sacramento State

they gave us until the 7th of may to give our intent to enroll. I just looked at the nursing website and it said to check back on may 11 for news regarding the bsn program. it is possible that they are going to be selecting alternates by then. smokeybear, are you an alternate?

btw, i have 2 weeks left and i am slacking ever since i got the news that i got into the program. i normally slack off a little before finals, but i am extra slack-y this time around because i know there's nothing that would prevent me from getting to nursing school. lol.

@Stephenee, thank you! I really do need to relax but I have so much going on right now lol.

@smokeybear its weird because when I emailed the student services coordinator she told me that she would post the last alternate selected to date wednesday, 5/9 around 5pm. But I haven't seen anything, it still says TBA on the nursing main page. But I think xaireel is right, probably may 11th since it says on the main page that that's the date to check their page for university and BSN admissions. I'm so ready to see how many alternates are being accepted, all this waiting is making me way too anxious! I'm slacking off right before finals too! =(

Is the Nursing web page down? I've been clicking on it for the past two days to check on updates but it says "page not found". Also, I was told that we would receive emails for alternates selection on Wednesday the 9th but haven't heard anything yet.

I just got an email and omg YESSS, I got in !!!! I was number 16 on the alternate list. :) Congrats to all the other alternates who got in as well!!!

Hi smokeybear, the email actually did not say how many alternates were selected so far :/ but I was number 16 so probably a little above that right now? But I'm not sure at all. I'm assuming as soon as they get an email or letter from someone that is giving up their spot they notify the next alternate down the list right away. I was wondering if this could be going on all summer long since they said the alternate list is maintained until the second week of instruction. They said to keep looking at the main page, but there hasn't been any updates. So I'm not sure.. I know that was probably unhelpful, I'm sorry!
