Hey guys! Who's applying for Fall 2012?

In the April 27 email from --------. Subject line "IMPORTANT! Sac State - Fall 2012 BSN Admissions News & Updates #2"

Congratulations to everyone who got in!!!!!!

Just got an email from sac state that they got my intent to enroll. I guess it's official now.

I sent in my ITE on friday... And no confirmation email... Do you know when they received your ITE xarieel? I'm a little worried they didn't get mine. I tracked it and it says it arrived, so I hope they're just behind on the confirmation emails!

Saxuhmuhphone,

What was your major at UCD, if you don't mind me asking? I was looking into master's programs and it appears that UCD took over Sac state's FNP program.

Livingsimple, No problem! You will get in so try not to stress:)

Achase4848,

If you go onto the Sac state nuring website and click fall 2012 admissions the information that was sent out to all applicants is listed.

Division of Nursing Bachelor of Science

Hey stephenee!

I went to UCD for one year, and technically I was an anthropology major :p There weren't restrictions on lower division classes that required you to be a certain major, so I was able to get into the science nursing pre-req classes without being a science major.

I never got around to changing my major cause I left for sac city college to transfer easier (and pay significantly less tuition).

Most people who were interested in doing nursing were human development majors because the two fields take similar classes. Most people at UCD who wanted to go to nursing schools planned on getting a bachelors in human development and then going to an accelerated program. Although some people were biological sciences, psychology, and other majors as well.

I hope that answers your question! Let me know if you have more :)

Hey to everyone who wants to apply for Spring, Sac State is NOT accepting transfer students so take a class or two from sac state to guarantee your eligibility as a current sac state student. The University is closed for the spring. I heard that the last time this happened the point cutoff for the BSN program was below 40 for admission (which cannot be verified its not listed on their stats because it is not comparable /Spring 2010) so for those with low GPA's, minimum teas there is a really good chance you could make it in Spring. I want to apply - transfer students, Admissions & Outreach, Sacramento State

I dropped mine off at the mail slot at Folsom Hall on Friday. I don't know when the opened it but, it was there on Friday.

saxuhmuhphone,

Thanks for the info!!! Thankfully, I'll have a nursing background when I do apply for the masters program. I haven't even finished my BSN and I'm already thinking about my masters lol

@Kaiamc, i think this is a potential outcome of a new tax not passing on the ballet? So i'm pretty sure its not set in stone that they arent taking xfers for spring until we know if the tax passes, but it is a big possibility.

Thanks Saxumuphone, :) I was thinking about those of us who didnt make it into the first 80 qualified candidates and who were assuming that we could just keep trying for Spring '13 without having to take on a few classes at the University. I wanted to put out the word since now is when BSN hopefuls are starting to decline to enroll into regular CSUS classes. I was considering the option of just staying on at my CC until acceptance to the BSN program but it looks like I will be taking a risk if I dont enroll in a couple of classes at least. I didnt know why the University decided it would be closed for Spring. It just that they will be, I had no idea about the ballot measure so thanks for that additional info.
