Sac State (CSUS) Fall 2012 Applicants

I asked the school where I was accepted to extend my deadline until May 9th when the next round of decision is sent out from sac state but they told me they could not make an exception for me. I will just decline anyways hoping that I will get into sac state since i'm not that far into the alternate list....Please please pray for me guys

For those of you that are currently or were previously in the BSN program at sac state can you tell me when is the best time (during which semester) to take my two upper division courses? I want to take one during my first semester but am not sure if that is a good idea. Also which upper division courses would you recommend??Any suggestions....comments please??Thanks in advance:)

OH NO, do not take it during first semester. No way Jose. You will want to die.

Most people took their upper division classes in the summer. History of Rock was very popular! I'd say 3rd or 4th semester maybe if you had to take it during the regular sessions...but it will be extremely difficult. Summer is expensive, but at least you don't have other classes and clinicals to work around.

Congrats! Now go say goodbye to your family, friends, pets, kids, clean house, exercise, social life...haha! Kidding...sort of.

Hi guys, I just found this forum, so I'm new here! Congratulations to you all that have been admitted! I also applied to the CSUS BSN program for Fall 2012, but I'm number 16 on the alternate list =( I was just wondering if anyone knows exactly when they will start informing us whether a position has opened up? I've been so anxious and worried since receiving the letter Monday. Any helpful comments would be greatly appreciated! Thank you =)

polka-dot Thanks so much for your input! I will take your advice and wait until either the summer or 3rd and 4th semesters. I see that you graduated already, if you didn't mind me asking, how difficult was it for you to find a job?

livingsimple if I am not mistaken, I believe that they admit alternatives as the spots open. If you check the main page it tells the alternative selected to date. I believe you have a good chance of getting in:)

I was accepted to CSUS and they're giving us until May 7th to accept or decline. After that day, I'm assuimg they'd start contacting alternates about admission. Good luck!!

Hey stephenee! Congrats to you too! I am a transfer student. I went to Sacramento City College this year, and last year I was at UCD (dropped out to pursue nursing).

@Stephenee and saxuhmuhphone Thanks for the info! I sent an email hoping for a correction on my evaluation. I'm guessing since the alternate list is maintained until the 2nd week of instruction, then alternates can be informed anytime during summer and until then? I'll be feeling anxious for a while then =( But I really hope space will open up, keeping my fingers crossed! Again thank you!

Congrats to everyone who got in and goodluck to those on the waitlist! I am apply to the program this fall for the following fall and I am curious to hear from those who were accepted and waitlisted on what their stats were, so I can get an idea for myself.
