Hi!
I work for Ryder in Connecticut. Be careful; what you sign and read the fine print. Sign the contract for 2 year obligation only as our nurses only signed for 2 years and be sure your base pay is at least 26 dollars an hour! the LPNs are making just below that if not that and they are not nearly as educated!!!

Please be very aware that any of these contracts are not going to start for years from now, things may be very different by then and they may not even have any needs. If no needs then, then all of the paperwork with the US government gets cancelled and you start over again from the beginning with a new employer.
Take the time to thoroughly check out any agency or employer before you sign with them. And pay close attention to cancellation fees, not just the salary that is being offered.
hi suzanne.
I took my nclex last september 2007 and up to now i havent signed any contract. if I will not sign any contract at soonest possible time my visa screen will expire. is ryders healtyh management a good company there in the US?its location is in stratford connecticut.

Does not matter if you sign up with an agency VSC has 5 years and has to be renewed agency or not. You are still looking at a few years due to retrogression and an agency will not make it any faster or alter the status of VSC
so what would you suggest? to sign a contract now or not? I dont care about the retrogression. My concern is to find an employer to file my papers for I-140. Im willing to wait even for 5 years and would like to gain an experience here in my country.
is working in a nursing care facility a good option?
will USCIS deny or revoke an applicants application for EB3 visa if the applicant doesnt have any hospital experience?
They will not deny you if you do not have working experience in a hospital. There is nothing stopping you from finding an employer just be aware employers can change their mind (it happened to me back in 2005 and I had to start all over again with I140) Hospitals can also be bought by other groups and they may also not want foreign trained nurses. The same can be said with an agency, no telling if they will still be around in 5 years. Only you can make informed decision on what you do, we just advice on what is happening at the moment.

Hi Silverdragon>>>
just read on your post : "There is nothing stopping you from finding an employer just be aware employers can change their mind (it happened to me back in 2005 and I had to start all over again with I140) Hospitals can also be bought by other groups and they may also not want foreign trained nurses. The same can be said with an agency, no telling if they will still be around in 5 years" This is exactly what happened to me. the hospital in the US is currently being taken over by a bigger hospital, and the agent representing us seems to have a difficult time looking for jobs for us...IF i decide to buy out my contract from the agent, do I get to keep my priority date?
I doubt it as PD is set to job and employer. That is what happened to me, I could not keep my PD and had to start all over again
