Rutgers University Spring 2019 ABSN

Hi everyone,

I wanted to create a new discussion thread for people who are applying to the Rutgers ABSN program for Spring '19.

I applied to Newark again after not getting in for Fall '18 (didn't have Microbiology finished in time). I'm hoping that since I sent my application in early, I'll hear back early. Not sure that's how it works though.

Hello! I received an acceptance from New Brunswick on 11/1 via email! Deposit is due 11/12. I had a 3.5 undergrad GPA from RU NB, a 3.7 in pre-reqs, and about 2 years of various patient care experiences.

Hi everyone, I actually applied for Fall 2018, but was accepted for Spring of 2019 and will be attending classes in NB, does anyone know of a facebook group or anything like it on a different social media site up yet for Spring 2019? Thanks

I called the school and they said they would start reviewing files the week after thanksgiving.

For those of you commuting, where do you plan on parking and how will you get to class from there?

I would love to hear more about this as well. I'm going to be commuting to Newark about an hour each way and I haven't been able to find out much about the parking situation by looking online.

Touching back on Letters of Recommendation, would they look at then if I were to send them in. I know they are not required but I think it would only help my situation.

I don't think they would look at them. During my application process I thought I read somewhere that said not to send them in because they will not look at them. And if this is the case, it may be frowned upon if you send them in anyway because it shows you've disregarded what they've said not to do. If you need to explain anything, include it in your personal statement.
