Rutgers University Spring 2019 ABSN

Hi everyone,

I wanted to create a new discussion thread for people who are applying to the Rutgers ABSN program for Spring '19.

I applied to Newark again after not getting in for Fall '18 (didn't have Microbiology finished in time). I'm hoping that since I sent my application in early, I'll hear back early. Not sure that's how it works though.

Just got an acceptance email from Rutgers ABSN - New Brunswick Spring 2019 (Tuesday, October 9 2019).

For anyone coming to read this in the future, I had a good GPA (3.7) and attended an information session. Extracurriculars, experience, and volunteer work were decent but nothing great. I applied around September 5, applications closed September 15, and I heard back today.

It looks like they started to send the admissions out !!!!! Orientation day will be on December 5 for Newark students!!! I hope we all can meet each other at that day 😉

Thank you RichT :) Yes this was my first and only school that I applied to. I was planning on applying to other schools for the coming summer or fall as the ABSN programs around my vicinity did not offer spring applications. I worked really hard and got mostly As on my pre-reqs because my undergrad gpa isn't that impressive. I got my answer through my email and haven't received an actual letter, although it might just be on its way. Good luck!

Hi Sabrina, glad to meet a future classmate! I'll also be attending Newark for spring 2019! Have you started on the immunization and background check yet?

Hey! That's great! Im happy to know you are gonna be my classmate!!!!!! Yes I started doing the process, o have done my immunization. I also requested my background check and drug screen test.

We should do a Facebook page for Rutgers Newark Spring2019. Who wants to start the group?
