New member here. Just got my acceptance letter in the mail today (Newark campus). Thought I'd start a thread to get the conversation flowing. Anybody else waiting?
Hi gilliard.jennifer,
I actually submitted on sept 1 but I made sure everything was all set - my designations, my proof of BLS, coursework....all that stuff.
I think they just let people know as they go. I called them (a lot) because I was nervous and they said they mail acceptances and email rejections. So just wait for the mail!!! good luck!!!
Does anybody know what the effects of the UMDNJ-Rutgers merger will be like? Is it safe to assume disorganization and clinical scheduling as potential problems? Are there any former or current students who can speak to the integration and how it will affect the program? UMDNJ Nursing school is currently ranked #234, Rutgers is ranked #79. This is a big difference in quality, will the new program be able to maintain the quality of a #79 ranking?

We will graduate with a Rutgers degree with no mention of it formerly being UMDNJ
Hi all! I just received my acceptance letter in the mail a few days ago as well for the Newark campus. Congrats to everyone else who has been accepted! My undergrad major was in psychology. I also have a friend who is currently completing the program. She LOVES it but says it's definitely intense. Good luck to those still waiting to hear!
Hi Everyone!
Everyone going to the Newark campus:
I'm concerned about how I will be getting to campus. I live in hillsborough NJ (near bridgewater ). There is a
Train station close by and that way could use the commute to read and study a bit. I could also drive. My concern is a 2 hour commute taking away valuable study time. Ideally I would love to rent an apartment near Newark ( in a safe area ) and drive. There is also the possibility of living on campus in a suite. If anyone is considering living on campus or has any input I would REALLY appreciate advice.

I graduated from RU too in 2002. I have a nursing degree (LPN) and have been working as a nurse for 3 years. I also had great references and great work experience. Pre-req GPA 3.8 but undergrad not so great. So nervous!
