I'm currently taking pre-reqs to get into nursing school. I have my BA in psychology and am looking to get into an Accelerated BSN program. I have my eyes on Rutgers Camden. I was wondering if anyone had any info on getting accepted to this school. Any currents students enrolled in the program? Did you take the "recommended" pre-requisites prior to admission (Human growth & development, nutrition, & genetics)? I was planning to apply for Fall of 2015, but now that they're making the additional pre-reqs mandatory for starting that semester, I'm thinking I'll go ahead and apply for Spring 2015 admission and cross my fingers. (I haven't taken the additional pre-reqs) My BA GPA was 3.76 and I have A's in my science pre-reqs (I still have two to take in the fall). Any advice? Should I just go ahead and apply for spring admission, or should I just take the rest of the pre-reqs and shoot for fall admission?
I've sent two emails to Rutgers as well as calling, none were returned. I feel like I'm in the dark a little here.
Yeah I think every did. I am going down on Monday to meet with an advisor regardless, but I plan on asking about that cancelled class. I've played around on the website and it looks like they've added a new class (im sure we'll have that added soon enough)
ps. I started a facebook group, if you didn't join we've all been chatting since orientation! And pass it along if you know any other students :) hopefully this helps
Rutgers Camden Accelerated Nursing '15
I just found this thread and it's already answered a few questions I had..thank you!! I am currently finishing up prereqs to start an accelerated nursing program and Rutgers would be my #1 choice so far.
How is it going for those that are in the program already? Would you recommend it?
Also, there are a few classes that I will have not taken once i finish up this fall semester...the biomedical ethics, human growth and developement, and ethics. Can these be taken during the program? I'd really not like to prolong things even more, I'd love to be able to start in the spring.
Also, where can I find out more information, such as application deadline and open house information? I'd like to start in Spring 2016.
Thank you!

I tried to join the new Facebook group but I guess I need to be accepted in. Has anyone received an award letter for financial aid? I submitted my fasfa about 3 weeks ago and it still says no awards available. Has anyone had any success?
