Rutgers-Camden Accelerated BSN Fall 2015

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi all, I applied to Rutgers-Camden Accelerated BSN program in late January. I wanted to start a new thread for the program. I am anxiously waiting to hear back from the school!! I will have a bachelors in psychology, minor in biology when I graduate in May. Has anyone else applied and received a response yet?

Congrats and welcome! I attended an information session before I applied. We discussed the application process and deadlines, as well as the accelerated curriculum. Is the session you're referring to any different than that one?

Hi! Thanks for letting me know - I just looked at the information session again. It seems I overlooked the term "prospective student" so I most likely will not be going since it is a bit of a hike for me to Camden. It's not any different from the one you attended.

Im planning on going to the admitted students thing Rutgers is holding on campus this saturday. I want to get a feel for the campus. Never can go to the info sessions because of work. I did get an email today which stated that the July 28th orientation is only for the accel. program students.

Oh - maybe I will go to that then. I haven't gotten any information about an orientation yet but my enrollment pathway is now available so hopefully I will hear something soon! I also want to go and get a feel of the campus/school. I've never been there so it will be interesting to see.

I believe you do need to register for the thing on sat if your planning on going. I got the info through email but check out admitted students day on the ru website. I think admissions just needs to know how many people are planning on going

Ok, I will - thanks!

Hello all , just submitted my application 3 days ago. I hope to hear positive feedback from them. Fingers crossed!

Good luck to you! Does anyone know how many students they accept for the accelerated cohort?

What I heard so far is 50 students for the cohorts.

I am actually applying this weekend. Is anyone who has been accepted so far willing to share what their GPA and prereq grades were? I would like to know how I measure up.

Ok thanks ennysmart.

Hi jpskys. For my first degree I double majored in health science and sociology and graduated with a 3.71 gpa. Prerequisite grades: A&P I- B+, A&P II- A-, Chem- A, Micro- A-, Stats- A, Human Growth and Development- A, Nutrition- B+. I'm taking biomedical ethics this summer and I'll be taking genetics when I start the nursing program.
