Congrats to you guys! When I had my registration/advisement meeting we talked about tuition. The program is rated as regular Rutger Camden undergrad credit tuition.

Saw the equipment they give us in our nursing bag when I went to admitted students day. Apparently, we do all get the Littmann Series II scope. Another person there asked if that was the scope we would be getting and the professor touring us around the simulation lab said yes that was the same scope everyone will get in their nursing bag from rutgers.

I had register as a non-matric student for summer to get a code/pin to allow me to register. However, somehow it was messed up in their system since I didnt get an email from the summer semester people within the few days they said it would take. I called the summer registration number and they sorted it out immediately. I did this last week. I have yet to actual register for it tho. But Dean Nelson said if I had a prob registering/getting into that summer course to email her and she would be able to do it for me.

I joined the FB group- great idea thanks for creating it! I met with an advisor today for fall course registration but I don't know the actual schedule since she said the office would be registering me within a day or two. However, from what I have seen on the Rutgers course registration site it looks like we will have class Mon, Wed, Fri. We basically discussed the program and courses and had to sign an advisement paper. I have to take the genetics prereq from Rutgers since no CC seems to have it offered this summer and it starts at the end of this month. Need to register and find a way to pay for it asap. She did tell me they admitted just about 60 students to the cohort. She did bring up taking the advanced Patho and advanced health & wellness courses which count as graduate credits. She said that several people have already opt. for the advanced health and wellness and one/two people have opt for advanced path. Anyone here decided to take those advanced courses or not? I know that it depends on your undergrad GPA if the option is offered to you. I decided to register for all regular level one ABSN courses at the moment and if I decide to change my mind I have to let her know sooner rather than later. Any opinions- what would you choose?

Im in the same boat but I need to take genetics this summer. Ive looked at many of the community colleges and haven't found it offered in summer sessions. Seems like its offered fall/spring only.Anyone else need to take it and find it at a community college? Rutgers does offer it online and it starts later this month just trying to figure how to pay for it if this my only option. JD- you find an open bio ethics?

Hi! Im starting in the fall too and Im wondering the same things as well. I have my appt to register for courses this week coming up. Are the courses for fall semester Mon, Wed, & Fri? Did you get to choose which Patho course (day/time) to take or do the abs students have their own? Any insight would be appreciated! There is also a thread for our cohort on pre-nursing board where a few of us chat.

Hi Shellz. I did this when I set up my NetID through the enrollment pathway. Sign into your enrollment pathway and click the Rutgers NetID and services tab. Even if you have already created a NetID, click activate NetID link. Then, on the left side, click manage email accounts. Then add your email address that you want to get the Rutgers emails to the delivering email list.

Yeah send an email to onss. Wont hurt to get the ball rolling. I just gave them my name & RU ID number and stated that I needed to register for fall accelerated nursing courses. I feel the need to share since its taken me a bit to figure out some things on my own dealing with Rutgers and haven't really gotten much back when trying to contact Rutgers.

I just checked I actually got this email a day after my transcript evaluation one.

When I set up/activated my netID & rutgers email address through the enrollment pathway, I made sure I set up for my Rutgers emails to be fwd to my regular email so I dont have to check my rutgers portal for emails from rutgers. I think they start sending stuff to your rutgers email after you enroll and not to your email you used in the application process? But I could be wrong.

I just got my appt email yesterday. A few days after I accepted and paid enrollment fee, I got an email from new students programs which contained info to set up netID, orientation date & rsvp link, and an email address to send a request to set up an advisement mtg. That email was. [email protected] It took a few days but they emailed me back asking the best time for me . Then it took another few days for them to send me an appointment time.

Im also assuming that nursing follows Rutgers academic calendar. I have my advisement/registration mtg with a nursing advisor early next week. Didn't think it would be so soon! Im glad I need to get my genetics prereq figured out. I can only find genetics in a summer session through Rutgers. Its online. Anyone taking genetics this summer through a community college that maybe I missed? I saw the nursing website for the ABS prereq page was updated to no longer say prereqs were allowed during first semester of program.

Our cohort's orientation is July 28th. It may take a little while to get an actual advisment mtg scheduled to register for fall courses because there only is 2 nursing advisors for the campus. We have to meet with a nursing advisor before each semester to register our courses. Clinicals do start first semester. We should expect like a group of 8 from the cohort to go out as a group for clinicals. Clinical hours increase over semesters with full 12 hr shifts expected by last level. There are three classes that may be taken at an advanced level and count as graduate level courses if the advisor thinks your a good candidate. Majority of our courses are in law building. Saw a simulation lab which was neat in the armitage? Building. We get a whole nursing kit including a littmann series ll stethoscope. I was told all prereq courses needed to be completed before we start in fall which threw me off because I was planning on taking genetics in fall. I need to figure that out asap. They said they had admitted alot of students to the program already but still reviewing apps until may 1st.

I went to admitted students day on campus today. Did anyone else on here go? There was less than 10 from the cohort that went today. Found it informative since I haven't gotten to go to a info session.
