  1. I am thinking of applying. How is it going so far?
  2. Does it list a department that you are under review for? If you don't mind sharing what areas did you tell them at the meet and greet that you wanted to work in?
  3. I put Cornell and mine still says "Future Consideration" ...
  4. I put Cornell as my preference as well ... I wonder if anyone has gotten word for a second interview or even offers yet.
  5. Hello All! I received the "top candidate" email about 2 weeks after attending the December 1st meet and greet. My status also says "future consideration." From older posts it looks like those that went to the June meet and greet last year just had to wait it out and were getting job offers all the way through October of last year. NYP is my top choice so I hope to hear from them soon!
  6. Good luck! I have my interview next week and hopefully will be in the same position as you - am completing micro right now and have to take the TEAS.
  7. So you got an acceptance letter and haven't taken your TEAS yet? Did they accept on a contingency basis?
  8. Has anyone already been on their interview and not taken their TEAS V yet? If so, when do you have it scheduled for? I am currently focusing on finals which do not end until the 3rd week in May and I work full time so I want to leave a few weeks after finals to study for the TEAS. I don't want to rush it and wind up getting a bad grade, but I also don't want to register for a later date and have them look down upon it. I plan on calling to ask, but wanted to get other opinions here first.
  9. Congrats on both of your acceptances. Does Seton Hall contact you by email or regular mail?
  10. For some careers, like a lawyer, it really matters where you go to school. If you do not go to a top law school or graduate at top of your class in an average law school you are not going to get a good job. How much does this matter when it comes to nursing?
  11. I might be reading your post wrong, but are you saying that you do not need to finish your degree and can apply to the accelerated nursing program? I believe you need to have a BS completed before you can apply to an ABSN program - at least all the ones that I have looked at anyway. I am kind of in the same situation, but I have a degree and am taking the prereqs for the ABSN. I am a little worried about not getting into the accelerated program so I am trying to figure out if it is worth applying to a few regular undergrad programs. But I will have to go through the associates and then the bachelors program. I am trying to figure out how long it will take a person who already has a degree to get through the regular nursing program since I already have the core classes like english and math etc. Sorry I really just babbled about my own situation and gave you no advice. :-/
  12. I am actually applying this weekend. Is anyone who has been accepted so far willing to share what their GPA and prereq grades were? I would like to know how I measure up.
