Wow, seems like no one is applying here or maybe we just have a lot of readers. In any case i hope to apply for the accelerated nursing program for Fall 2015. originally, it was to be Spring 2016 because i haven't finished prereqs but I'm hoping to be done next spring (of 2015) and hoping they extend the deadline. Anyone else?!!
My deposit is in, I ordered the background check and drug test, have not received the results for my background check yet and I have not received the additional paperwork needed for my drug test yet.
they said the bg check was due at the time of deposit so I was waiting on mine to be completed before the deposit.
I just sent them an email to see if that is actually true, because one week is barely enough time to get that all completed. Realistically, even if we ordered our background checks and drug tests immediately when we got our acceptance letters (I ordered mine over the weekend), they may not be done in time before July 20th. I actually just had to call the company that runs the background checks because my forms kept uploading blank and I hadn't received my drug test forms after 48 hours of waiting. If Rutgers can't understand that we need more than one week to get all our paperwork and physicals completed, we ought to remind them of the several months many of us waited for acceptance letters. We won't even have our RUID until next week most likely. Hopefully we just had to have ordered the tests by July 20th and have until the semester begins to get everything completed and sent in. I will let you know when I hear back from them.

Yeah i thought it wasn't enough time too but the drug tests and physical don't need to be completed by then just the background check itself.
"The date on the action sheet only applies to the tuition deposit. All other items you will likely fulfill throughout the next month or two before beginning classes."This is the response I got, signed from the manager of admissions. Hope that clears everything up!
I wasn't too stressed about that. I was just concerned about making sure I paid the deposit on time. Thanks for the update!
Hello!!
I was accepted to both the Newark and New Brunswick campuses, but have decided to attend Newark. I submitted my deposit, background check, and drug test, and have only received notification that my drug test results were done. I'm currently waiting on blood work results to have that information ready for the clinical aspect. Strangely enough, I keep receiving emails from NB even though I submitted my deposit to Newark. Anyone else have this issue? I will be calling tomorrow to follow up.
I will be making a FB page for Newark & will provide the link as soon as I can!
The link to the FB page for the Newark cohort is attached:
Firstly, congratulations to all of you that got accepted for the Fall 2015 cohort! I know that they were so belated with replies, but I'm sure you're sharing with all the others starting on the academic journey full of "hills and valleys" toward a nursing diploma
I'll be applying and aiming for the Spring 2016 ABSN Newark cohort (as I wasn't able to complete all of the pre-reqs that are to be done within 5 years, in time for the Fall 2015 deadline), and am wondering about applying to both campuses; for those that did so, did you feel it was worth doing? Additionally, did you have any troubles with your letters of recommendation going to both campuses (granted, it is the same program, however they're separated in NursingCAS)?
Your help is well-appreciated, and congrats again to all of you!
