Rutgers Accelerated BSN - Spring 2016

  1. Which Rutgers campus are you applying to for the ABSN program?

It's a little less than a month-and-a-half from the application due date for both campuses, and I'm up in the wee hours doing my best to ensure all the requirements are ticked off on my checklists :nailbiting:

I was unable to apply for the incoming Fall 2015 cohort, as I had more than three pre-reqs pending, but I'm hopeful to attend Rutgers' Newark campus in the spring. Anyone else excited/scared/unnerved with the application process (especially with NursingCAS; even with an upgrade to 3.0, it still does not seem any more intuitive), or has already completed it? Also, what are your interim plans while waiting for decisions?

After being a bit of stalker on the other threads (sorry!), I'm also hoping it won't turn into the debacle that has happened with the Fall 2015 acceptance letters... although,I might have just jinxed that, and maybe with an application deadline extension, to boot!

Here's to hoping this process goes well for all of us!

Hi @ndamore! I tried searching the group but it wouldn't come up...would you mind posting a link?

Have anyone paid and got their RUID? It seems like you can not apply for financial aid if you have no RUID. Admissions told me that they will send it in 2 weeks time. Yes, classes start January 19, 2016.

Lacerti: Apply again! Just do that!

Strange that they told me Jan 4 previously.. Called again and was told we start Jan 19! My apologies for any confusion.

I'm assuming we need to pay in order to receive our RUID, correct?

Acutrofe,

Yes. Paid 11/9/15 and was told by admissions that RUID will be given in 2 wks time.

Hi ALL!!!

So excited for Spring 2016 cohort!!! I suspect the waitlisted will be contacted before the actual orientation, which would make sense. So good luck to the Waitlisted!!!

Awesome that someone created a FB but I don't have FB :sorry:.... is it public? So excited for orientation too!!!

Also, yes you have to pay in order to get a RUID.

Hi Mimi0914 - not sure if you can access the FB group without being signed up for FB (my guess is probably not). But try and see if you can access this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1682359422007051/

Of those who were accepted, how many were accepted to both ?

I was accepted to both campuses. I received both mails at the same time. I ultimately chose Newark because it's closer to where I live. (Apparently Newark clinicals tend to be at Central/North Jersey hospitals, as opposed to Central/South Jersey for New Brunswick.) Interestingly, my academic advisor was the same for both Newark and New Brunswick.

To all the waitlisters -- have any of you reached out to Admissions to check their status and maybe get a more updated answer on when the accepted students' deadline is for letting the school know if they are definitely choosing Rutgers as well as tuition payment arrangements?
