It's a little less than a month-and-a-half from the application due date for both campuses, and I'm up in the wee hours doing my best to ensure all the requirements are ticked off on my checklists
I was unable to apply for the incoming Fall 2015 cohort, as I had more than three pre-reqs pending, but I'm hopeful to attend Rutgers' Newark campus in the spring. Anyone else excited/scared/unnerved with the application process (especially with NursingCAS; even with an upgrade to 3.0, it still does not seem any more intuitive), or has already completed it? Also, what are your interim plans while waiting for decisions?
After being a bit of stalker on the other threads (sorry!), I'm also hoping it won't turn into the debacle that has happened with the Fall 2015 acceptance letters... although,I might have just jinxed that, and maybe with an application deadline extension, to boot!
Here's to hoping this process goes well for all of us!
Congratulations on your acceptances! I, too, am in the process of deciding between the two campuses and am curious what you might have heard about Newark vs New Brunswick. Any thoughts?

Yes that sounds right. End of December is too late. I'm thinking maybe the rep had the wrong info.
Lizzie, I definitely hope so. Come to think of it, she did sound a little bothered about me asking about my wait list status -- she cut me off when I was going to ask if they would email or mail us a letter that we were chosen off the wait list by wrongly assuming I was going to ask what my place or "rank" was on the list. But I hope you're right bb18!
Hi mk426! I too have been accepted to Rutgers to start in January, but I only applied to Newark since I live closer. I wanted to go to the "better" program if there was a difference but I spoke to a recent BSN grad who started at the NB campus and transferred to Newark and she told me all the faculty and rotation sites are the same. The only difference to my knowledge is that NB tends to be a smaller class size (but IMO the Newark cohort is not "too big" since it's the same size/ a tad smaller than other ABSN programs I applied to). Since the merger, Rutgers is Rutgers, and that is the name that will be on your diploma. So choose the campus that works the best for you! Good luck!
PS I'm hoping more accepted students post so we can start a Facebook group!
@latepama - Wow, I thought we'd start on January 19? I was emailing with a girl who is a Level 3 in Newark's program and she said that we'd follow the regular academic calendar: https://scheduling.rutgers.edu/scheduling/academic-calendar. Maybe we start early because it's our first semester. Guess we'll find out! I'm just thankful that we'll get breaks in between semesters and not go straight through!

Hey all!
I was told that the accepted applicants have until November 23rd to accept their offer and we can call a few days after that to find out our status on the wait list. Of course that's the week of Thanksgiving, but I'm hoping they have answers soon after that for us.
