Rutgers ABSN Spring 2021

Updated:   Published

Hey! I figured I'd start a thread as I haven't found one for this upcoming semester. Has anyone applied for Rutgers ABSN Spring 2021 start?

I have applied and am currently just waiting on a response. I know I have spoken to someone at the school and they have mentioned that some people have already gotten their decisions.

I never had a confirmation receipt for my BLS either. But I did the chat the other day to confirm they had all of my required documents. It’s a shame they don’t outline the required documents and then display it better on the status screen. So much more unnecessary stress on top of waiting to hear if we’ve been admitted.

You hit it right on the head. I never got notification either. even with the second one I submitted that will be valid for the Spring that they asked of me since my other one expires 11/30.

For those that submitted the BLS, do you see the confirmation on the application status webpage? Or did you just confirm they have it via call/chat?

I confirmed via the chat since I was getting mixed responses on here about its importance to the application during the supplement period.

@Ry_ari isn’t it crazy? So I just submitted mine. I should’ve submitted it as soon as I got it. Oh well. And I asked if this will set my app back in being reviewed and the person said no. I also asked if we would be notified of any missing documents and they said yes. But, why wasn’t I notified of the BLS cert? ?

Still trying to stay positive!!

@Louel11 the person confirmed it for me. Same w my proof of enrollment for the pre-req I’m taking right now. My portal doesn’t say anything except my $70 fee and transcripts.

I guess it is always a good thing to have these boards because we get more information from them it seems with all of us speaking to many different people.

@merc12 I HOPE your guess is correct. This waiting game is making me crazy ?

how long after submitting your BLS did you get your acceptance??

Same here! from past boards it seemed as though most people got their decision before Halloween. That's what I was betting on haha! but now ill pray to hear by the 15th at the most of November ( crossing fingers).

@SBRNS Trust me I get it, the waiting period is the worst anxiety ever. I submitted my BLS on Oct 1st and got my acceptance on the 8th.

But like @Ry_ari said with the new extension a reasonable date is the first week of November to around the 15th.

Just keep yourself busy!

You did the re admission application correct?

I had everything complete by Oct 1st and haven’t heard anything yet.

@merc12 Do we get an email on acceptance/rejection or does it pop up on the application portal?

@Ry_ari This was my first time applying to the RN program. What are your stats like GPA and all that?

@SBRNS I actually went on the portal and saw a big red Congrats sign LOL and saw from there. Then the emails started coming in the next couple of business days.

No I meant were you a previous Rutgers student?

My undergrad GPA is a 3.72

AP1-A

AP2-B

CHEM a freaking 79! C+

Micro-B

Nutrition-A

I have been working in Dialysis since 2015. I have been a CNA since 2013. I Also have my Phleb Cert.

No I went to Kean University!

Those are actually good stats! From my experience, RU likes to see improvement from past academic history. So if you did get that C early on and started getting A's and B's that is a good thing.

I did too! I graduated may 19...thats odd! I did have a BAD past history..like when I initially started college and I had to write in my statement that I improved and that they can look at like 07-14 and they will see that the grades I've earned recently compared to before that there is a BIG difference...even when I took the pre reqs before.. I couldnt get higher than a D/f (yikes) but I had to grow up. Being a single mom did it to me. thats a shock you got your results so soon.. I wonder whats taking them so long with mine...oh well gotta continue waiting

Hi all, just wanted to share that I was admitted to the program on October 16th. I applied around 2nd to last week of September. My stats were not great I had 3.48 from Rutgers and had a 4.0 from a community college I took a prerequisite class in. My grades definitely showed a upward trend if that interests anyone. I had around 3.0 my first two years and finished the last two years with around 3.8. I also had a C in Gen Chem II and was retaking in the CC atm since I thought I would have to apply again for the Summer program but surprisingly got in so dropped it ASAP. Good luck to everyone!

@ab1453 Congratulations! ?
