@Ry_ari I was finally able to leave a message on my other computer. They said the BLS certificate is not counted against anyone if it's missing from the application. So now we wait some more.

Ah! OK . The lady I spoke with made it seem like I needed it. I could’ve saved my money. Oh well.

Hello everyone!

I was just reading through this thread and almost passed out when I saw they wanted BLS cert at time of application!! I was told it’s needed at time of enrollment.

I applied to the ABSN program @Newark since New Brunswick was cancelled.

Has anyone heard back yet? Rutgers SON website says people hear back 4-6 weeks after application deadline.

@SBRNS I spoke with a counselor on Friday and you DO NOT need the BLS Certificate at the time of application. You do need it eventually, but if you didn't turn it in (like me) they won't count it against you. I did email mine in last week and I got a message this morning that they received it. I still haven't heard anything! I was really hoping to go to New Brunswick too...but applied to Newark.

@jr624666 I wanted to apply to NB too! It’s like 5 miles from me. Newark is my only option.
I got my BLS Sept 15th but figured I’d just submit it later IF I get accepted. This waiting period is stressing me out. I’m really hoping I find out by November 15th latest.

@SBRNSIt's the worst. I applied to a bunch of schools and haven't heard from any of them.

I think they been really backed up since the NB location shut down and they probably have a ton of applications to go through.

They extended the application till nov 1st! I think it may be some more time

Do you think they extended the application because they weren’t getting enough quality applicants? Seems strange to extend the application due date especially when they took away one location.

That’s what I’m thinking. But I hope this doesnt mean we’re going to be waiting even longer ?

Hopefully they will take it into account. People who got their applications and documents in early and prior to the original due date were more than likely waiting for the application to open for long before.

I spoke with someone via the chat option. The person said notifications will be out in 2-3 weeks. This seems to align with the 4-6 weeks notification period following the original due date of Oct 1st.
