Rutgers ABSN Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, decided to make a thread since I haven’t seen anyone make one yet. Thought it would be better than to just keep stretching out the 2019 thread. Drop a question below if you have any.

Can a Newark peep please please tell me exactly where the SOAR link to rsvp is? I cannot find it. I RSVPd so re-enrolled rather than new student by mistake.

I cannot find a to do list in pathways

Did anybody delay the admission to the next term? I am a New brunswick admitted student but I really want to move the campus to Newark because NB takes 1 hour from my house. I asked the admission to move my location but they won't let me. So I am thinking dropping New Brunswick admission and apply again for Summer 2020 for Newark campus. Am I too crazy giving up on my admission? I am freaking out because I might NOT get admitted for the Summer 2020. I have a kid and a husband so I have a lot to consider.

I think you should go into New Brunswick and then ask for a transfer after you’re there! It’s hard to get into these accelerated programs, don’t give your spot up!

Newark- I spoke to ******* from clinical clearance today- she was really nice and seemed to realize how out of sorts let's call it- the process is. Just get your BLS done by the 20th- upload your pic for the ID before orientation and at least get started on the background and immunizations if possible.

Question- does anyone have a final price tag for the entire program- including fees but NOT housing etc- just what we will owe the school- in state person,

I called fin aid and they couldn't really tell me which is nuts.

Thanks!

So, if i am hearing correctly, nothing is really DUE before orientation?

I havent heard anything from Fin Aid either...

Does your enrollment pathway have due days? My enrollment pathway isnt even working still...

no, i can't find a "to do"list in pathways I have some link in an e-mail and no they don't have exact dates. According to the woman Vivian its fine to not have stuff done, just get going on it- except the CPR/BLS must be submitted by the 20th and upload a photo for you ID because we pick it up Friday. I hear from financial aid- but do you know the cost of the program as a whole? What is the tuition for 14months?

Thanks!

The tuition in total is 33,000. Apply for scholarships with the nursing department! since we are not offered Pell /tag or any other grant from the government.

how does one apply for scholarships within the nursing department. is there a link to the page?

For Camden! It’s on the website under scholarships. I will leave the link here and they tel you the requirements. More the. Likely we won’t be eligible for it for the first semester. https://nursing.camden.rutgers.edu/nursing-student-scholarships

Does anybody have a kid??? My biggest concern is balancing a family life (not that I expect lots of free time) and the program. My husband is a super busy lawyer working 12 hrs a day, so I'll be an almost-single-mom. Dropping a kid off to school and picking her up would be the biggest challenge if clinical hours overlap. For example, I should head off from home at 6am and get to clinical site by 6:30am, and kindergarten doesn't even start until 7am. ? I am thinking hiring a nanny but also wonder if I can hire someone in like 30 mins for medical emergency (i.e. fever) that she need to be picked up from school. I am losing my mind a little bit..

Hi Gina! I have two kids. It is going to be a struggle but it can be done! You can do this. Everything will work out. What campus are you going to go to?
