Rutgers ABSN Spring 2020

Hey, decided to make a thread since I haven’t seen anyone make one yet. Thought it would be better than to just keep stretching out the 2019 thread. Drop a question below if you have any.

Got rejected from New Brunswick a few weeks ago, but Camden still says “processing.” I applied Way back in September. I also have a 3.5 GPA and I am currently a CNA in a rehab. Not sure what more I could have done, did the people who got accepted really have that much higher of a GPA???

anyway Camden is taking forever and I’m not sure what my odds are looking like!

I received an admission letter this morning. My first reaction was "Son of a B*****!!! I have sent the application on the first week of window and they sent email just today. Anyways, when does the school starts in New brunswick? I got waitlisted on newark, would like to switch if I can. Can absn students get a family housing there?

My stats: 3.3 (undergrad) & 4.0 (pre reqs - mostly science)

Experience: Eletronic company 8 years & PCA in pediatric hospital for 1 year.

Your gpa for undergrad was 3.5 or pre req gpa 3.5?

3.0 undergrad and 3.7 for pre-reqs (in hindsight that actually gives me closer to an overall GPA of 3.4) but I still thought that was pretty good. Oh well.

Nah they recommended at-least a 3.33 I believe, for undergrad. And when they say recommend, they pretty much mean if you don’t have it you better have the best reason possible as to why. So that’s probably why you didn’t get in.

You should try to apply to njcu. Because I think there minimum is 3.0 gpa. Also, they require recommendations so that may help with the gpa issue.

I got in to Rutgers Camden ABSN in Camden!! is there anyone else on here that did? Have you heard of any orientation dates??? good luck to all of those out there who haven’t heard any news!

Congratulations! I got in as well!! Hopefully we get an email soon with dates.

No. For Camden as long as you don’t decline the application it’s used as an acceptance!

I am in the same situation so I understand, I called and I did not meet the pre-req requirements for New Brunswick and Newark campus because I do not have biochemistry or chem 4. However, Camden does not require those courses. I am hoping we will hear a decision soon, they have until the first week of December so I'm keeping my fingers crossed @neko6

Did anyone with a class pending get a call from Barbara in admissions? I missed a call from her on Monday and she said she had a question about a course, so I’m thinking it’s about my pending Growth and Development course I’m taking the CLEP for. So mad I missed the call and have to wait until Monday now!

Did you show proof of enrollment for the test?
