Im getting ready for my Math Final tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what the rules are as to when to round and when not to. Just when I thought I knew my teacher changes it. Thanks!

Sorry I meant to ask when to round to the nearest tenth or hundreth or whole number. I know gtt are to the whole number as is insulin. But just wanted to know if there was a concrete rule out there.

Dec 12, 2007 I think that what you may be referring to is how to determine what the significant digits are that you need to round to when you are doing calculations. There are set rules for doing this and I remember being given them in either my pre-algebra or Algebra I class. It has to do with the numbers that go into the calculations to begin with and how many decimal places they have. I've been trying to find some websites with these rules for you:http://home.uchicago.edu/~freed/sigfigs.htmlhttp://dl.clackamas.cc.or.us/ch104-01b/signific1.htmhttp://www.phys.unt.edu/PIC/significant_figures.htmhttp://members.aol.com/profchm/sig_fig.html

I'm so glad you are!
