RPN-RN bridging 2014

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hi,

I'm currently completing a RPN diploma. I will be done in April, 2015 and be writing my CNO's in June 2015. My question is for anyone that has already bridged from an RPN program. Will i be able to apply to the bridging programs although i haven't written my licensing exam as of the application deadline of Feb1st. I plan to receive my licence before I would start in the bridge program, but would they send me a conditional offer? ALSO can someone explain the procedure with OUIT's bridging program? When are the bridging courses taken and am i guaranteed a seat in the 3rd year of the program or do I need to re apply after finishing those courses? How long does the program generally take from start to finish?

Thank for any advise!!!

You enter into year 2 of the program. The program is 3 years full time in total. I believe you need at least an 85% average to be considered...at least based on past years.

The Mohawk/mcmaster bridging program is 3 years. The first year is considered sort of like the transition year and in the 2nd year of the program you enter the 3rd year of the BScN program, joining with the rest of the BScN students.

Average cutoff usually ranges from an 84-86% average in the PN program (sorry I'm not sure what that would be in terms of GPA), depending how many students have applied.

Well, I'll just have to see for myself if I go then, won't I? :wacky:

True enough. Just trying to help...

You'll do fine.No bridging program will be substantially harder than another.

True, but organization is key. Mac isn't as structured for their assignments as the others at times.
